The “fans” are the worst part. The true fans can’t afford to go see the Leafs play. Lower bowl is pretty much tickets getting thrown on eBay, or executives trying to impress clients. Watch the start of virtually every period, and the lower bowl takes like 5-10 mins to fill up again. You don’t hear any chanting, which creates a conundrum. The team has nothing to inspire them, and the crowd sinks deeper and deeper into despair. The media part gets blown out of porportion, but what you gonna do about a team that has sucked for half a century, and is now finding new levels of suckyness? Not writing about it would be stupider at this point. But the thing is, the true fans saw this shit coming. When Sundin fucked us over by not fucking accepting a trade, it was GGPO. We had no draft picks, no upcoming talent, and there was suddenly a salary cap. We got FUCKED, and you’d be retarded to think Burkie didnt go into his interview and tell them “we are fucked for like 5 years, I will do what I can”. Well, five years is up, and your team is ass. I can think of like 3 guys who will stay, the rest are alllllllll on the block. Kessel, Phaneuf, Grabo, are safe for the most part. You could argue a few others into safety as well (Schenn is likely on the block as I will discuss in a moment). But Burke is pissed, and will fucking launch every player everywhere. There has to be some locker room shit going on or something.
