Cam Newton is serious business. I watched nearly every snap of that game and if there was one-on-one coverage, he was completing the pass. If he had time in the pocket, he was completing the pass. It honestly looked like Peyton Manning put himself into Cam Newton’s jersey. Everything he threw was ON POINT. Now he did make some rookie mistakes… sometimes he took off running when he had a decent pocket… the int he threw was a terrible read. But other than those things (which can be sewn up) he looked VERY strong. He looked very accurate. SHOCKINGLY accurate. Accurate enough, that I already put my bid in to pick him up off waivers and I’m dropping Vince Young.
Memo to the Falcons… play that way next week please! Stay away from the running game!
