Uh, on what fucking planet is trading Tom Brady and Marshawn Lynch for Josh Freeman and Knowshon Moreno a fair and equal trade?

It’s not as bad as you make it out to be but its still in favor of the guy getting brady.
Moreno = 4th rounder
Lynch = 7th rounder
Brady = 3rd rounder
Freeman = 7th rounder
So you’re trading a 4th and a 7th for a 3rd and a 7th.
Its a even trade and slightly more to him and thats fine since I asked for it ,
I have NO backs ( Addai,Greene,Lynch )
He was the ONLY person who had 4 backs and didnt have a Elite QB . ( Vick,Brees,Rodgers,Brady,Rivers,Manning***)
But had Freeman which is definitly next caliber level ( Schaub,Roeth,Freeman,Romo,Ryan )
I knew Moreno was expendable and made a trade that could help both teams and get me a better RB who I think can perform all year and a Good QB.
It costs me a little more than I wanted , but I didnt downgrade my QB that much IMO but Upgraded to give me 3 playable RB’s and didnt kill my team but made it a better team as a whole.
Moreno >> Lynch
Brady >.5 Freeman
Naw brah. Naw. 1st of all you can’t try to break this down by rounds when Brady isn’t lasting to the 3rd round in practically any draft anywhere. He’s usually the 3rd/4th/5th qb taken and dare I say never last past round 2. 2nd of all, after Romo and Rivers, there’s a significant drop in qb production and rating. Especially since Romo, Rivers, Rothlisberger and Schaub are tier 2 of QBs. Name me somebody who’s taking Josh Freeman over Romo or Schaub or even friggin Rothlisberger or Matt Ryan. You have to go two friggin tiers to get to Brady’s level.
Moreno vs Lynch… dude they’re practically the same guy. They’re both starters on shitty teams. Moreno is more injury-prone. Lynch is gonna get goaline touches while Moreno will get his scavaged by McGahee. Moreno will catch more passes. And again, Moreno could possibly be a 4th rounder but that’s only for big reachers and there’s a dropoff in production, rating, and potential when you get to him. I’ve seen Felix Jones, Blount, Jahvid Best drop to the 4th round but they’re significantly better than Moreno and Lynch.
I’ll put it like this… Brady is to Freeman as Ray Rice is to Moreno. Brady is a top qb and top point getter. Freeman is just ok. Ray Rice is a top point getter. Moreno is barely ok. If I see someone getting Tom Brady, I need to see someone getting a top player on the other side. You mean to tell me Josh Freeman or Moreno are top players? Dude… if the trade was just Tom Brady for Freeman AND Moreno, I would probably still have a problem with it.

I understand you felt you needed a really good rb, but trades are about value and getting what you’re worth. Brady is worth a lot more than Moreno. Hell, I would even think Gore isn’t enough in a trade with Brady. Brady is a top tier guy. Freeman isn’t even close. Moreno isn’t even close.

Freeman finished 7th last year among QB’s , You know how many times he ran for TD ? Add some of those to that final score from last year , add some more picks since he wont just have 6 this year and you have a somewhat same QB as last year , Oh and his RB is decent and is playing from game 1 to open that PAP up.
Is he ELITE NO Brady is . But he is EASILY tier 2.
And I was never gonna play Lynch , hes was ranked 33rd overall as a RB , thats right worse than another teams 2nd RB , and this is for good cause .
Moreno is a gamble yes , he is in a NEW offense and the NEW coach is none other than John Fox who loves to RUN THE FUCKING BALL . He will get 20 carries a game EASY.
Now I have a more balanced team with a:
Decent QB
3 Playable RB’s ( Greene/Moreno have lots of upside )
GDLK WR1
Decent wait till manning gets back WR2
Even Mike Thomas is unknown

and in a worst case situation , I have my Josh Freeman , nothing better than having your QB as your fantasy QB in a league , will make it more entertaing to watch my Bucs play.

also, QBs dont win you leagues (unless you picked vick off waivers last year). RBs win you leagues.
Also here are the QB tiers
Tier 1: rodgers/vick
Tier 2: brees/rivers/brady/romo
Tier 3: big ben/freeman/schaub
Tier 4: stafford/ryan/eli/bradford
So Brady is 1 tier higher than freeman.
Moreno is at least 2 tiers higher than lynch. Moreno is a low end RB2 with upside for high RB2 production. Lynch…is a middle of the road RB3 with no upside.
TIS, I knew someone would probably have your thoughts, and I thought long and hard about that trade before I approved it.
Basically, I felt the same way you did about the trade. I initially almost declined it and told BR3N7 to drop Kendall Hunter from the trade.
But the reason why I approved of it after thinking about it is for the following reasons:
- Marshawn Lynch isn’t who he used to be. Did you look at the fantasy numbers he put up last year? He’s a nobody these days. Outside of that run he had against the Saints in the playoffs last year, when else did you hear someone raving over Lynch?
- Moreno put up significantly higher numbers than Lynch last year. Sure, those might get eaten into this year, but I still think he’ll be much better than Lynch.
- Is Tom Brady equal to Josh Freeman? Absolutely not, but he’s losing a very decent RB – and RBs can make and break you based on the league settings. Say what you want, but I’d put my three headed RB combination against his team on a good week and completely destroy him.
- Freeman will put up very good pass numbers this year, but he’s also a scrambling QB, very capable of scoring rush TDs as well. Think of him as being similar to Vick.
I will say the only the about the trade that kind of pissed me off somewhat is that I know BR3N7 tried pulling off a series of unfair trades NOT in his favor last year for the sake of getting Buccaneers players since he’s got a love obsession for that team. I’ll be honest with you BR3N7, this move eerily reminded me of last year, and not in a good way. I’m not going to be tolerant of that this year.
That brings me to my last point about why I approved this trade.
- BR3N7 will not convince me to trade away Blount or Mike Williams to his team just because he likes Tampa Bay. He will give up equal value, and I’ll make it my point to make sure the league sees any trade I may happen to do with him as equal before I approve it.
Not even I would trade Tom Brady away before the start of a season unless it was for good reason .
I was 0-4 when I did that .
It just happened to be Freeman , I would of done this if he had Schaub or Roeth.
But the down to it reason I did it was , my QB was expendable and the only position I could downgrade a little on safely, and I stood no chance against any other 3 headed RB team like yours and now I do ( still not the cailibur I would like but along with a great WR and TE core It will do ).
You’ve still got to understand why some people would consider it to be unfair. I happen to see this one both ways.
I had to really think about it before approving it, but I’m not going to approve blatantly obvious unfair trades to anyone in the league even if someone starts out really bad and can’t improve over the course of the year.

maclin has the best current value but aj green probably has the most upside
