I don’t think it’s a crime (wasn’t there when they caught the dude, but I doubt they called the cops), but it really pissed customers off when they had to re-do an hour’s worth of shopping.

Well think about this. She not only left the purse concealing a firearm within arms reach of a child, she left the safety off of the firearm.
She’s just going down the list of parental failure. She probably won’t get charged but I won’t be surprised at a wrongful death lawsuit.
This is why you should never let women do anything. Women are incapable of handling something as dangerous as a gun. While a man would know not to leave something like that loaded, with the safety off, in a bag in reach of your children, women are just really not smart enough to understand that. Like it just doesn’t process.
I’ve known countless women that think dangerous predators like lions, tigers, bears or lethal poisonous snakes are “cute” because they’re too fucking stupid to realize how all those things can easily kill humans. There are always stories about some dumb shit woman jumping into a lion’s den and getting mauled.
The reason is because women were completely insulated from all danger. You see, the stupid men all died, and did not pass on their genes. But the stupid women? They did pass on their genes, because being female meant that’s all you had to do. People don’t understand, but that is actually what Darwinism is all about. Darwin essentially just states successful traits lead to more reproduction leads to those traits being represented more in any species over time. Darwin would have told feminists that feminism is a fail idea, because putting a creature as stupid as woman in any position that society would have to rely on them in any way outside of reproduction would lead to a society wide collapse of failure and ineptitude. And that is precisely what we are seeing.

in the real world we live in, people don’t take every precaution with their weapons. i don’t see why that precludes it from being a “gun issue.” the kid certainly wouldn’t have killed themselves with an unsecured box of tic tacs

I saw nothing in the article mentioning the safety being left off? Am I missing something? Not all handguns have external safeties.
A complaint I’ve heard about purse carry is that safeties can disengage themselves due to the constant shaking of the purse itself. Kid could have accidentally disengaged it while messing around inside the purse.
The KREM version of the article is a bit poorly worded. The dead woman is the child’s mother. It wasn’t a “customer” that died, it was the kid’s mother.
