HAYDEN, Idaho—A toddler shot and killed a Walmart shopper Tuesday morning in what deputies described as an "accident."
Walmart employees evacuated the Hayden store around 10:20 a.m. following the gunshot.
Deputies with the Kootenai County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene and found a 29-year-old woman dead inside the store.
A woman was shopping with four kids, when her two-year-old son reached into her purse and accidentally discharged the weapon, according deputies. Authorities said the toddler was seated in the shopping cart when the gun was discharged. The woman and children were in the back of the store near the electronics area when the deadly shooting happened.

Being from canada i know nothing of guns because you know… We dont NEED guns. But aint there supposed to be a safety on em for this exact reason??? Maybe we learn the gun rules and follow them we wont die to two year olds… Or maybe we dont carry a gun… I know walmart is a dangerous place and you need a side arm on you at all times but common…
Damn dude what did the people of Idaho do to you. And this is what happens when you have irresponsible people in possession of guns. Why would you have the gun in your damn purse? A robber could’ve snatched the purse and now has a free loaded gun. A gun should always be in a secure spot with little movement like a holster or tucked tightly in your waist. And why wasn’t the damn safety on?! Sad this happened but this is what happens when people who own guns never bother to learn how to handle one.
So I already had to worry about black people, Russia, the government, drug cartels, the mafia, people with Ebola, gingers, and a whole bunch of other people…
