2 Questions about Happ-IL Stick

1- what kind or size of female quick connectors do i need for Cherry Microswitches ? at ParadiseArcade there is some .110, .187 and .250… i dunno witch ones good for Cherrys.

2- is there some kind of part that already exist that i can place between the stick “HUB” (the big square part whit holes to put the screws in) and the top panel so that the stick wont stand so tall??? the problem is that i want the shaft of my stick to be totally inside the case…

Thanks…

  1. .187 QCs are what you want

  2. A bit trickier. You may be able to use come spacers between the panel and the base of the stick, but that has 2 drawbacks: the depth of the stick increases, making clearance on the bottom of your case a problem, and the physical throw of the stick may me reduced. The other alternative is cutting the shaft, which can be dangerous without the right tools, and from most accounts seriously affects the feel of the stick. My advice? Learn to live with the height.

Is there spacers available for this? or should i create some on my own… the case is deep enough… its a AIAB true arcade size… im removing the crappy china made Happ comp stick to replace it whit a IL eurojoy stick

The Happ and its equivalent IL joysticks should have the same measurements, The difference being the level of accuracy and precision each brand make there parts at.

If you have a drill, 1 1/8 inch spade bit, and a saw it should be easy to make a spacer out of 1/4 inch MDF.

You can get some metal washers for real cheap and slap them on underneath the control panel.

Check that out.

The super is on the right. It’s much shorter in terms of shaft size compared to the comp.
I prefer them.

Can u send me a link so i can see what kind of metal washer u talking about?

Humm… interesting… the thing is that i dont think that Supers are as accurate as the IL euro

I took 3/4" MDF as a pannel, and mounted the stick bottom mount, so it’s relativgely low, but I plan to use the metal washers to have it evebn lower
