Zatalcon, I’m gonna speak at you and not past you. To fix the black community you have to get them to invest in america. Spouting off statistics (especially here in this small thread in this small forum) isn’t going to make nigg*** “act right” or take responsibility. To fix those areas you listed, its going to take an upheaval in the culture in those areas for them to improve. The gangs aren’t going to go away because white america scolds them, infact them and the welfare queens and whatever degenerate tags you want to put on them exist almost to spite white america. If you want black america to “act right,” you need them to have faith in america so they can invest in “pulling themselves up by their bootstraps.” The people in those areas would gladly watch the country burn since they have no trust & faith in america, especially the laws, police and court systems.
I will agree that black people need to stop blaming whitey for everything. Whitey isn’t responsible for the vast majority of single parent households and other ills solely brought on by blacks themselves.

To be fair, AP isn’t necessarily wrong. I’m from North Jersey and the only people I have ever met that have extensive knowledge of Camden are White people from the Philly suburbs that used to go to Camden to buy drugs.

Somehow, that is supposed to motivate the general public to beg that they write more tickets and such. Something about them feeling “unsafe” when writing tickets.
I had always thought the scam was from the government shaking down the general public in fines. But apparently it was always the cops all along. I say we make sure they continue to feel “unsafe” so that people can actually drive around and such. Might actually make economic activity increase when they’re not there constantly ticketing everything that moves.
You remove tickets from NYC, you’re going to have a MASSIVE budget gap to fill.
Yeah of course that’s their play. Of course if the government worked like it should, you would get an equally massive cut in government spending, but that isn’t going to happen. The government is too big.
This reminds me of the sequester though. Dems insisted how awful it was, and purposely cut the things that would most impact the public to drive their political point. In DeBlasio’s case, he should be looking to cut the opposite. I don’t know what their union agreements are, they may have a really stupid agreement in place, but his cuts should be centered on the police force.
What you usually do though when you have any type of budget problem and don’t like someone, is you defy whatever contract you had and just cut costs and let it go to litigation. It takes years and years to resolve that litigation, and by then you’re almost definitely out of office, and the media and public get bored and forget about it. That’s when you quietly settle it, and just hook up the other side anyway. I know this because I’ve been involved in major city litigation that worked exactly like this. Specifically pensions, those are rife for dispute because they’re usually ill defined and the city charter and state constitutions are generally quiet on it.
But the same idea should work with police funding and employment. The courts will want nothing to do with it, I guarantee it will take at least 3 years before anyone even has any idea what is going on.
The PBA’s missive was pretty funny. “Only arrest people when absolutely necessary.” Isn’t that pretty much an admission that they spend most of their needlessly arresting and fucking with people? Which happens to be literally what they’re accused of.
