Having trouble doing 2 and 1 supers any tips? (canceling into supers)
You need to buffer in the super extremely quickly doing the first motion before your normal attack and the second super motion into the normal.
If you’re doing Ryu’s low forward into super hadoken you need to to do QCF once then QCF again, and on the second QCF, hit med.K when the stick is at the down direction (or 2) then as the stick rotates to forward press P (at the 6 position).
It’s basically as if you are doing the SUPER command for Ryu but during the 2nd QCF input when the stick is facing down you insert a low-forward (medium) kick into the overall command.
If you’re doing Dictator’s low jab, standing jab, super scissor kicks, jumping strong combo you need to do the low jab to standing jab differently than if you just doing a regular 2-in-1 with scissor kicks.
You need to (while charging backwards) low jab, then quickly push forward then back then as you go to press forward again you need to quickly press jab while the stick is in neutral position then as the stick is forward press K and it should combo from standing jab into super scissor kicks.
Here’s Vega’s combo in long form:
(while charging down and back) crouching jab, forward stick motion standing, backward stick motion, neutral standing jab with stick moving forward, forward stick motion and any standing kick button, jumping towards strong punch, strong punch.
Go into practice mode and try these methods out. It helps to know what character you want to Super 2-in-1 with also as the rules are different for Ken’s low shorts into Super or 2-in-1 comboing Guile’s super.
thx again will try it… was so ez to do in cvs and alpha series…
This reminds me of another marginally superior aspect of the Virtua Fighter series, that you can record matches and training modes and have the command inputs be shown on the screen.
It would make showing people how to do combos and negative edge reversals etc. much easier.
Sirlin used the game graphical overlay in his CCC ST tutorial videos.

3’rd strike tutorial but same technique applies.
At 2:41 there is a demonstration of how to do it with different motions.
The difference is it’s being canceled from Specials into Supers but you should still get a good idea of how to do it.
