Cooperation Cup gives out cash prizes. How much is up in the air, but I remember one year the winning team won 350,000yen(I guess around $700 each teammate). The payout’s never that big(same thing with SBO).

Anyone knows, is there a legal maximum pay-out in Japan, which keeps it from being classified as gambling?
I think as long as it’s some sort of a sponsored event, it won’t be considered gambling. It’s hard to explain, there are weird loopholes everywhere.

I don’t understand how there can be a “same character teams event” without every team following the cardinal rule of “same character team”.
There are <5 player groups in the main tourney, why not enforce the rules and force <5 player same character teams?

My brown for blend teams was a joke, but I see some see it a bit more serious.
Mixed teams is very confusing to me too, it isn’t in the spirit of precoop. I think they just want everyone to be able to participate that wants to since it’s a pre-event warm up type of thing.

Like at first I thought this was the Pre event but that’s the same character tourney, right?
First round is round robin. Then there was a playoff for each second place team.
