You have never had anyone close go crazy, have a cousin that hears voices, have childhood homies that hear voices from meth use threw the years…It starts off slow, the person you know dies and is replaced with some inner monologue we all have, conscious subconscious , problem is the inner voice is never some voice that tells them any thing good, telling um shit like, i should get a job or go to college or simple things like clean the yard, its usually that asshole buried in the back of your head takes over, and mental issues usually appear in the early 20
wow, im really impressed by te level of dedication of this man had. Its a shame his selfishness led to the death of others.
That’s the unfortunate truth. Still fuck this guy…
Shit happens. I dont blame anyone (other then the shooter). i dont want extra security. I dont want to sacrifice liberty for safety. The theator has already banned all cosplay for now on. I wonder if they will do metal dectators and pat downs now? I hope this doesnt do for movie theaters what colombine and 9/11 did for schools and airports.
but i guess people are going to want to shift blame and get lawsuit happy now. “You are suppose to protect us bla bla”
Read on other forums that the dude called himself “The Joker”.
(Hmmm…this guy is decent looking enough, is white and has the name J. Holmes.)
In before marriage proposals.)
Well, it’s “nice” to have confirmation that 24/7 “news” networks have little insight and even less shame nowadays. CNN, for example, has literally been reporting on this for 14 hours straight now. This when, during at least the first 30 minutes, they didn’t actually have shit to report on.
That’s “more laughable” than the sudden, mostly political calls for “gun control” or “gun rights”–for the record, I believe Bloomberg sincere if naive–in an election year. It’s “more laughable” the inevitable “interviews” of “he was always such and such” while trying to dig around for how much of an awful, horrible loner the person was and how he was influenced by media (regardless of how [un]true it is or not). Even “more laughable” than people thinking that stricter gun control is some type of panacea; I’m actually for stricter gun control–no one legally needs an assault rifle–and such, but I’m not going to pretend that it would change very much, especially the current idiotic state of politics and general inborn instability of humanity.
However, none of that is as “laughable” as people still continuing to ignore how utterly shit mental health care is in this country, even, no, especially when shit like this happens. Outliers to sanity aside, between the veterans stuff and this type of incident basically getting so much focus with that Arizona incident, you think it would become more of a priority. But no…
America! We the best!
“Amusingly”, one of the first survivors, who was supposedly one of the first people the suspect pointed a gun at, that CNN talked to had a Twilight shirt on.
Tis’ doubly tragic.
Good thing he didn’t then.
Nananananananana…Failure!
They fuckin misreported the Supreme Courts verdict on ‘Obamacare’ just a couple weeks ago too. CNN’s on a roll
Jessica Ghawi would get it
any update on his apartment rigged to blow?
Sounds like something Deadpool would say.
Something really dark always happens when one of these movies releases. First Heath suicide/not so suicide and then this.
nothing for Batman Begins?
do people just not acknowledge that movies existence? I know it was really fucking boring but still.
I wanna make a spoiler alert joke about this, but I feel that would be going too far.
Also, I dont have a good joke
ps - whats next Batman movie gonna do for an encore? I thought the Superman curse was bad!!!
Those aren’t emergency exits. Well, they are, but they serve the dual-purpose of allowing people to exit the theater without the entire crowd returning through the lobby. Unless of course this theater had a different design.
I think a lot of people believe on some level that mental health isn’t a thing.
^ And on the other end of the spectrum are people who think you can “fix” it.
(The real tragedy of all this is that one time I actually want to watch that bugger Pierce Morgan, because he was having Sigourney Weaver on, this happens. Why couldn’t the shooter be sensitive to my needs to stare at Ms. Weaver’s chest?)
It’s debatable as to whether you can “fix” certain mental health issues though, Manx. I think you can probably can for a good many of them or, at least, there might be some eventual “cure” beyond just drugging people into oblivion or worse.
Thing is a lot of the times the attempts at “fixing” it are even worse than mental “disease”/“problem”/whatever itself. Similarly, when it comes to “fixing” it, a lot of people are still overly hung up on “fixing” sexual orientation and making everyone heterosexual rather than focusing on legitimate mental diseases, even the among the people who actually believe in a form of medicine that isn’t faith healing.
However, that gets into at least couple of slippery slopes and I don’t want to rant, especially about something I have yet to fully investigate (the failure of), so I’ll digress.
Which is sad, because CNN is still probably the “best” of the 24/7 news networks.
It’s rather loathsome to think and realize that MSNBC and Fox News are even worse.
Considering how many of our most influential politicians and business people seem to lack it between the obvious sociopaths and the (religiously) insane, it honestly wouldn’t surprise me at all to find out that the majority of Americans think mental health is a “lie” crafted by Xenu or something.
I don’t know if this has already been brought up, but I’m very surprised that no one has tried to scream that video games are the cause of this incident. I mean, fucking everyone and their mothers (literally) tend to immediately point the finger at them for any form of violence.
Also, my dad told me something hilarious that he heard from…ABC? He said something about how they were reporting that there is a member of the Tea Party with the same name (J. Holmes), and how they couldn’t confirm or deny that it was the same person involved in the shooting. You’d think that common sense would take over in a situation like that, but ABC seems to lack it. It’s moronic journalism at it’s finest.

I FUCKING LOVE THE NEWSROOM
This makes me think of that movie rampage…extremely fucked up.
