(11/20 PSN!) SG: Slightly Different Edition patch notes

I used to do that in Guilty Gear, but mashing is no good for characters that use tight links.

i too would like to know this as itll be handy for me taking it to local casuals as well actually.

Yo mike, any idea of when Ravidrath would be back :P, i am not gonna lie, i want to share the patch notes with my community, but of course, it needs to be released oficially by you first before i do that

I thought the notes were already on the skullgirls site…

They are.

Also Ravidrath is back and keikaku… ish… as always! =D

Ah, my apologies. I completely misread you.

I mean the spanish version

Well, it’s available in English, already. Your Spanish-speaking associates can just get a crappy Google translate version already, you might as well give them the real one.

Hecatom and I already translate the Spanish official patch notes, but apperaly they didnt upload yet.

Dropping inputs should only happen when the game is slowing down, and even then very seldom. Slowdown only happens when your opponent’s inputs are very far behind, and you must have the worst internet in the world if that’s happening to you on the patched version. (^.^) If you hold the button for slightly longer it’ll never drop 'em anyway.

As for giving you 5 frame hold = press, HELL NO. That’s BB-style L2P territory and it changes a lot about the metagame. You’ve already got a 4f reversal window, a 5f chain buffer window, and a 5f jump buffer window. At some point ya still gotta hit the buttons at nearly the right time. :^P

@Hecatom, I have no idea where Ravidrath even is, let alone when he’ll be back.

I see
Well, there are some few minor details for the translation that i wanted to poolish but i needed some input, so i don’t know if you wouldn’t mind helping me there :stuck_out_tongue:

Hahah fair enough big mike.

Yes my internet connection is ass, i do live in australia, but yeah dropped inputs happen all the time under laggy conditions… With my painwheel it mostly happens on dash inputs, 1 of the hits in my 3strings, and fly inputs… I be jumping around either wiffing jlks all day or jumping around doing nothing… Lol dropping my jlk inputs.

About that buffer… I was only talking about online, of course i wouldnt want it for offline… Buffers are cheesy to me but in the case of online play it might make sense to have certain buffers… I mean if we can have airdash buffers and after jump buffers ( the types of buffers i personally like) than why not a few more scrubby buffers for online play only?

Haha just a q, in the form of a statement, online doesnt really mean much tournie wise so i just thought it might be something that would bear looking into… Perhaps.

Thanks for answering my question it helps alot… I now know that my internet is even worse than i thought…

@Dime - If you are getting slowdown with the patch, your delay to your opponent is more than 14 frames. At that point, no amount of clever networking technology can save you. Besides, under the conditions where an input is dropped, it isn’t registered at all…so even if there were a buffer it wouldn’t do you any good.

@Hecatom - well, you can ask, I dunno if I’ll be able to answer them.

Just played a 252 game

Whoa, mind was blown. I could combo and stuff… It was fucking unreal, this is THE ONE NETCODE TO RULE THEM ALL!!!

Seriously though… I think the greatness of the netcode needs to be hyped up…its one of if not the games biggest selling points… Being able to play peeps from all around the world at a competitive level is just awesome.

It’s Australia. I still get dropped inputs as well. It is SOOO much better though, actually feels like GGPO now

Hey we need to play! Accept my friend request ya fool!

Random question by a friend (didn’t ever really think about that, but he has a good point):
Is there a reason that damage is scaled rather than just the health changing?
Instead of increasing a solo’s damage to 200%, one could as well reduce the triteams health by 50% for the same effect*,
and that would save all the trouble/confusion that the damage multiplier is causing**?!

*I know these aren’t the actual numbers.
**Confusing numbers when fighting 1v3 by mistake or because one doesn’t want to go back to charselect too often

Just stopping by to say that the online netcode is quite impressive! More fighters need to grasp this delicate work of technology.

Omg how much further do i have to fall behind on the patch before i am required to purchase a ps3? This sucks yo

I know it sucks man… It is completely shit house. I feel for you and all of the other xbox only users… But if you get ps3 then you get alot more people to play against as well… Plus ps allstars… Lol

If there is anything simple you want tested just ask and ill be glad to see if i can test for ya
