Excellebella scaling is 35%. So, yeah.
Nope, at least not for the foreseeable future.
Nobody’ll be showing up to WNF to play SG, they dropped it entirely. I’m gonna try organizing something elsewhere on Thursdays. :^S
The last hit of Ultimate Showstopper does 3500. In order to reach that at 50% initial damage scaling you’d have to do a 7K combo, which under new IPS is difficult without meter…and at 33%, you’d have to do a 10K combo. I don’t mind being able to spend more meter to get more damage than the initial super would do, or being able to reset. A plus of choosing not to go for the last hit is that you don’t give them a huge chunk of red life, whatever damage you do.
Thus far in playtesting it’s seemed to work out okay. <- My validation for everything. :^P
Yeah… by WNF I actually meant TRB, since they changed the day. But even if that’s also the case, I’m really intrigued by your project. I’ll hold Peter onto his word. xP
Alright, thanks. I’ll stick to straight normal chains into burst baits for now, then. Is the Devil Horn cancel during Ultimate Showstopper super cancel-able? Say, if I land the grab in the corner, have another meter and want to avoid starting the combo with the opponent out of the corner (plus reset scaling to 80%), can I just whiff Devil Horn into Diamond Dynamo and go from there?
Nope, it isn’t supercancellable, but it comes out backward (a la the end of Makoto’s SAII) so they always go forward.
I dunno what kind of drive it would be, but perhaps you should start going to the NorCal scene. It may not be as popular as SoCal but they seemed to embrace SG a lot more than SoCal right from the start. TNT still does Skullgirls I believe, though I think Persona 4 might have eaten away at a chunk of the SG playerbase.
I see. Thanks again.
Awesome! so if I want to I can keep cornered opponents in the corner rather than tossing them out of it. And look awesome doing it!
Mike, sorry to be a bother but when does this patch release?
And just like that, The Kid got himself into a whole mess of trouble. Scumbags popped out of the ground, looking around for the next piece of trash. They found The Kid instead…
Didn’t make it.
In normal speak, Folks, that is a bad question to ask. The dev team is not sure since it’s going through Microsoft and Sony for review now. Mike has repeated consistantly that he’s not sure when it will be released. When they have a date, you’ll be sure to know. People will be posting it in almost every skalgars-related thread.

sorry
US into DH will be awesome, but not that awesome. Damage would be 1780 after the Devil Horns, next hit scaling down starting at 28%. Hopefully, the OTG won’t be used, and there’s zero chance the combo won’t start at three. Without using another bar of super, you’ll be hard pressed to break 5000 Mid screen. Sure, resets, but knowing how little additional damage you would be getting in best case scenario, the opponent is ready to avoid resets.
I’ll put this as politely as possible: It’s been a long time coming, and there’s yet more to go.
Essentially, talk about anything concerning the patch EXCEPT the release date. Not even mike knows, because, even when he does finish coding, it needs to be validated by two or three parties and there’s no telling if he’ll have to go back and fix something. Just sit back and enjoy the ride.
EDIT: it’s all good.
Bella can corner carry from mid-screen into at least a low/throw/air grab standing reset in the corner off of DH though, all of which do solid damage on hit. It looks like it will come down to the question of “do I take the damage and allow the opponent to tech away and possibly recover on a switch, or do I sacrifice some damage to keep the momentum going”. Seems fair, imo.
Damage is not the only consideration, there is also meter gain and not leaving them a huge chunk of red life. As well as the fact that if you have more than one meter you can do much more damage than the super by itself does.
Double post - NorCal is 5+ hours each way. I can’t do that weekly.
Forgot about red life and meter. Okay, I feel better, that’ll be a big change with that alone. A reset may not work, but seeing them switch out and not recover my whole Blockbuster will be worth it on it’s own, let alone the… wait, what’s the scaling for meter gain? Is it the same as damage?
EDIT: I have an unrelated question. If you do a combo, DHC, do a combo, and then DHC back into your first character, are the same moves that were watched before still watched?
Looking forward to that 3 meter Bella super grab.
Since MikeZ posted, regarding the the PC version, I rest assured it will not use GFWL?
It better not, or the wrath of the gods will be felt.
