Why would you want your game on the bad side of Microsoft? Whatever Short-term benefit that may or may not bring will just end up being a long-term unnecessary problem
Lol this is just stupid at this point.
Lesson learned i guess… don’t hype up new content for your game months before itl be out and don’t allow one console to get content first. Get it approved on both consoles and then announce it
So, we still have this “don’t hype content months before it will be out” thing even though the issues were explained?
And instead of getting it out to the public earlier in some way, hold it off until both consoles approve. That way, we can extend the wait for the patch even longer.
I need ideas how to get niggas to play this game, or at least try it.
Then again, my scene said Vsav was a bad game, I don’t have hope for them.
Screw that
If we had to wait on MS we’d get the patch for both systems on February while they are busy fast tracking anything and everything for Halo 4 and the other AAA third party games. I’m glad we got the patch on the PS3. Any longer and the game really would have died a miserable and grisly death. People who want the patch should get a PS3 and hopefully Skullgirls 2 is a PC title from day one so we don’t have to deal with this dickery(yeah, I made that word up, what!?).
Just wanted to point out that you sooooooooooo did not make up the word dickery.
In order to release them “on both consoles at the same time” that includes releasing them on XBox, for which we have to get MS’s permission…and we can’t seem to do that, which is the only reason you don’t have them yet in the first place.
You do realize, I’m sure, that the reason it was ‘hyped up for months’ is because we (that is, myself and the other people actually WORKING on the patch at various times) were told that it was going to come out in May, then in June, then in August, then in October. Oh, you didn’t? You thought we were just doing it to screw with you? I’m sorry.
If we waited to announce it until after it was approved on both consoles, then: it wouldn’t have had the months of testing that it did have at public gatherings, so I wouldn’t have been able to take public feedback on the changes into account; even PS3 players wouldn’t have it yet; and there is a good chance that with the extra waiting it would never have come out at all, because of the at-this-point-beyond-stupid business problems. It’s OUT now, which is a success…I’m sorry it’s not a success for some of you, but one console is infinitely better than nothing.
[edit] I’m glad you consider us showing off the latest build ‘hype’, though, since we avoided doing anything but showing what actually existed at that time.
Lol pissed off mike z good shit
Not blaming anyone really its just a frustrating thing because I invested a lot of time into this game early on and now its completely unplayable on my console
This thread is like getting mad at the chef at the pizzeria because the delivery boy is taking forever with the order.
Guys the Xbox patch is coming so just chill.
Tempting to make a 2nd account just so I can like this twice!
but I wont.
I come here everyday just to taste what it’s like to have the patch (as an xbox user). I’m not complaining about the delay, the ball is in MS’s court. But I am SO excited/anxious about new Filia and Painwheel combos.
If I could, I’d be testing all kinds of gimmicks and optimization to really take advantage of the new tools. I’m not a great player mechanically, but I am a clever one, and I’d love to contribute a cool piece of tech to this game. The robust training mode will help TONS.
(inb4 buy a PS3. I’m a broke college student.)
Me too, actually im gonna buy a PS3 Bundle I will sell the AC3 and buy SG with that money hahaha.
Hey, can I ask Skullgirls related questions here? I have two.
Is there any real difference between ‘stabbing/cutting’ hits and ‘impact’ hits? They have different hitsparks, but I’m wondering if there’s some fundamental difference between the two.
Also, about that change to the system to make the next Skullgirls character work, can we be given details? Not about the character, but what wwas made possible that wasn’t before, or what the change pertains to?
Ain’t nobody telling nobody to buy a PS3, at least not seriously. Only one game in history made me buy a game system.
@Zidiane There’s no difference between stabbing and impact hits aside from visually/audibly being unique. They’re just hitspark types, and there are a bunch more like directional or circular or what-have-you.
And sure, why not, not like it’ll help you any. (^.^) Characters can go from being thrown state to regular stand/crouch hitstun (stagger/crumple were special cases before), and characters have a lot more control of the camera than they used to, like being able to lock it from states they couldn’t before or making it ignore them in states they couldn’t before. Also some tech fixes for repeating textures, like the chain for Hsien-ko’s weight or the beam for Peacock’s laser, to make them more practical.
Congrats on the Annie award nom.
Awesomely depressing.
Hotlinking is not allowed =[
fix’d
