And we’re saying that Parasoul doesn’t need that damage because she plays an excellent neutral game. Just read DevilJin 01’s breakdown. Basically, if you’re complaining about Parasoul then you’re probably trying to pixie with her which is pretty much the wrong way to play her.
I can’t believe I have to waste my first point on this topic on this but…seriously man…ugh.
SF4 Vanilla: Sagat was the best due to damage and his obscene pressure and zoning game magnified by the FADC system and Trade Ultras being a thing. Yet he lost crucial matchups to Akuma due to him having better control of the neutral.
UMvC3: Uh, Vergil DOES have some of the best footsies in the game just by virtue of his obscene ass normals which have some of the most ridiculous hitboxes (hitbubbles) in the history of history and because of things like Spiral Swords and Devil Trigger helping his safety options. You know who else is highly regarded in UMvC3? Magneto. His damage is nowhere near as ridiculous yet his neutral game is far superior to most due to his extreme amount of versatility and options.
KOFXIII: Here’s a little known fact. Takuma does more damage than his alter ego yet is ranked lower. Why? Because Karate is a crap ton easier to use and has…shocker, better options in neutral and on defense.
Damage is only as important as the options that go with it. That has always and will forever be the case, PERIOD.
It’s super late, I just want Pali to know I’m going to blow him up for that “Akane HIGH DAMAGE” comment, because Saitsu didn’t.
If you’re that salty take a break, play another game, or just let your Ps3 chill for a few days and theorycraft, that’s what I’m doing right now.
