chalonverse, does your camcorder have an option for “shutter speed” or "fps?"
If you set those to the lowest vales, that should minimize the black stripes on screen.

Man the side view needs to go, it really takes away from what is going on.

I agree it’s not the best view. The way I’ve been setting it up is having a tabletop tripod setup on the Fist of the North Star machine that no one plays. Unfortunately with the tabletop tripod, you can’t put it on the CvS2 machine itself b/c it’s too close and you don’t see the whole screen.
Next time I’m going to try to bring a full height tripod, and either set it up directly head on, a little behind the players (if it doesn’t block the path too much), or at a much smaller angle directly on the side of the machine.
The best setup would be to have a direct a/v line to the game and then setup a mic, like they do for the 3s recording at FFA. I have no idea if the CvS2 machine can even do that though, and we can’t even always get it set to tourney mode so I dunno if we’d be able to get someone to set it up for us :sad:.
