Tournie was a shambles however.
I got fucked by the Vega bug–twice!
(By the way, Simpliztic, it’s all good now; let me tell everyone what it looked like from my end, as Vega).
Against Simpliztic, it looked like I was trouncing him! The first game he won around, but the second game it looked like I beat him fair and square, both rounds.
Well, I get a message from him saying that HE won 2 out of 3! What? (I’m sure we were both fired up at that point!)
So, Syxx tells us to play again.
The second group of matches is closer; it looked like I won the first one, but he took the second…then he was gone.
I assumed it was the Vega bug and conceded victory.
I’ll consider it a DQ on my part because I chose the character with the known flaw.
For future tournaments, we’ll have to take my experience into account.

Nice T-Hawk sar, those hawk dives were murdering my blanka, couldn’t think of much to do so I switched it up to Honda and faired a little better, but still
tron…fuck cammy…lol. her moves have so much priority over blanka and honda both
maybe I should have used guile…
Either way, good games and it was good practice to test my skill as I’m not really much of a sf player.
For anyone else, hit me up anytime you see me on! I need lots of games and practice.
First game I had the full red health bar issue/ lag which sucked.
2nd game, the PSN wouldnt even allow me to connect to the other player.
This is all after about 45min of waiting.
Good try at a tourny though, hopefully next time will be better.

Sorry about the mess, too many no shows and people just not responding to matches so sorry about that, people weren’t really keeping in touch with me so I had to transfer the remaing winners and loser brackets to paper and finish it out.
But I have an idea for a better tournament, run over a longer period of time so that everyone will get to play and you don’t have to be in a certain spot at a certain time, plus it will only take a few days, because it is taking way too long for people to play a simple 2/3 match

my apologies once again to the people who got lost in the losers brackets, I think is done better with a smaller bracket because of no shows, not to mention if I end up doing another one with this many people it will be done over al onger period of time, like 3 days or something

Good attempt Syxx. I got my games in, but I can’t say the same for others. It’s hard to organize somethign like a tourny online, but I’m sure we can figure something out over time. Keep the tournies going, I NEED PRACTICE!

Yep the other option is to MAKE everyone go into the same chat program, like MIRC
so I’ll think about it and decide what I’m gonna do as far as how it is run, and cut off the number of people who are entering
We ended up having about 55 people enter but there was about 15 no shows and it really messed up people who were waiting forever for their match to be called… i hope they were still playing random matches or whatever the whole time because the ken music is annoying
i’m accepting all friends requests that i received during the tournament so you guys can all beat me down next week when I’m back to playing again.

I’m gonna take a break from this game for awhile. It’s taking too much of my time it seems…lol It’s Friday night here and I am just going out now close to 11pm… Aside from Street Fighter 2, I really don’t like video games and rather be doing other things. I did order a stick from Arcade in a Box so maybe I’ll come back when I get it and play some friendlies against the cool people I’ve met here.
