I just threw this idea, I have to think about the rules.
But maybe a 15vs15 (or more) format would be perfect.
The thing is to decide of which players, between those who are intersted, will be in the team.
I think everyone can suggest evryone, and we’ll debate about it, from a strategic view (characters, tactics, etc…)
For exemple, USA have a lot of balrog (boxer) players. So I think we definitely need dhalsims or hondas or vegas in our team. Counterpicking IS LEGIt and is really important on these kind of tourneys.

15on15 would be ok, or maybe with a (max) cap limit of 20 per part, or there could be a risk the task become too frustrating / long.
I agree about deciding which players can enter according to all players involved. I guess that wolmar, PSF, pe1port, you, sharizord and some others would be ok for euro team, plus I know some very good italian players could join.
In the last months I played with many people on ggpo (Evil, we’ve played a while ago, remember? 
). So, I guess, many of them can talk for me.
In meanwhile, let’s see what happens.
I thank you for mentioning my name in the list but I actually don’t think I’m part of the best 15 nor 20 euro players, even if I know I improved a lot the last two months. (I try to be more “patient” and I worked on some matchups)
And yeah, I remember we played together some while ago, and I remember you’re very good. Which char is your main ? I’d love to play you again now.
Obviously, I definitly think those players must be in the team without any discussion : sharizord, wolmar, PSF, orf, kareeem, 41i45, baccara, Kobalt Brue, SpinalBlood, Biollo, Rockstar, Professor Jones, Cuthbert80, Aerorockman, Er Commander, ntrade, fuz, Chunli1 …
But knowing kobalt and baccara quite well, I don’t think they’ll be interested
Speaking of ntrade, fuz and Chunli1, they are not on ggpo very often, sadly …
This let some spaces left (5~7 if we go for a 20vs20) for other good players that i forgot to mention or that are maybe just a bit under the submentionned one.
And yeah, in this sublist, there can be : you, me, pe1port, milanea, rax, deadpool, Mr Pogo, baa, etc., etc. and all other good players interested.
No offense for the ones that I forgot : I dunno everyone …

I’m interested too but why not make qualifications between europeans ,with repechage, to determine the top 20 euro ?

You know, it’s a “friendly” tournament, and even if we don’t have all the top players in the team, the tournament will still occur with all the dudes that want to do it.

I put myself available as an euro player (from Italy, playing New Sagat), I’m open to all decisions, though I won’t dislike the pre-tournament idea since deciding who will be in the top 15 would still be a debate without a tournament result; provided there are a lot of players interested, of course

My main is dictator but i play also boxer. If i’ll be in the euro team i could choose between these depending on what is needed/more useful, or something like that.
And of course, there’ll be without doubt an opportunity to play again

I really want to authorize Akuma this time : it’s just for fun, bro, nothing official, this tourney.
Akuma will bring up some spice, imo, and you don’t have to worry really, I’m sure it won’t spoil the tournament.
Think about what can happen : one team has one player left, it’s akuma : well, even if akuma beats all the opponents (which is really unsure : chun or vega for ex. can rape easily akuma), he’ll have to face for the last match another akuma (read the rule, akuma must play the last) : so it will be balanced what ever happens.

But yeah maybe I have to say that if one team have an akuma, the other team must have an akuma too.
