Dude, that was like total hell. XBAND was my friend and I was the lonely child whos waiting by the park. God, Ill never forget the countless connections I bought for XBAND.

Good news… I started the server recovery tonight. All is going well… compiling a custom kernel as we speak.

Well…just got HSF2. And I must say, I am greatly pleased. Can you say SSF2 chars with Turbo speed! Now that I have gotten it, the following needs to transpire:
-
get my SNES controllers modified for PSX support or obtain an adapter that allows such to happen
-
get a cabinet
-
get Jesse’s adapter for his cabinet that allows console play on a cabinet
-
purchase a modded PS2 in addition with another HSF2
-
find a suitable & worthy arcade within the LA area (most likely UCLA or Camelot) and donate the cabinet
If I am successful in completing these 5 tasks (in no particular order of course), something new & interesting will take part for the first time ever. Pad guys will get the opportunity to play stick guys on EQUAL ground.

What is this you ask?
A ZSNES league. In this league, you can play a bunch of games for rank. SSF2, UMK3, KI, Tecmo Super Bowl, Mario Kart, and a few others as well. Many of the SF players on here are true experts, and probably have no competition on this site but yourselves, but none-the-less the site itself is quite large with everything else it hosts such as Counterstrike and SOCOM2 clans/leagues. It’s very proffesionally made and easy to understand. So if many of you experts come, the newer players will have someone to learn from. So jump on the bandwagon and go join up, kick some ass, train some newbs, and hope for ALOT more Street Fighter competition from this, as well as other games too. That is, if you’re man enough.
Hmm, this isn’t the first Zbattle League. There were Leagues before. And this will go down like all the others.
Many people would probably just join such a League if it were an official from Zbattle itsself.
I don’t know why everyone’s so surprised at strong play on a pad, but I’ve always been playing on a controller (never been good at sticks)
Anyway, some tips I use for pad :
First, I use the ball of my thumb instead of the tip. When going for DP on reaction, the most important thing for me to remember is to RELAX. I have developed a fast motion on P1 side and a slightly faster one on P2 side, so the main focus for me is to learn to rely solely on my reflexes. Letting go of defense is necessary. It may feel gutsy sometimes, but I’ve noticed if I try to do the DP too fast, I’ll botch the whole thing. It takes a little relaxation for me to move my thumb from down-back to toward, but once I get there, the DP usually comes out just in time.
Also, practice against the computer. There you can try all the risky stuff. Go for the DP everytime, even if you’re entirely too late. I try to perform the motion even if I’ve already been hit by the attack because it helps me to relax and makes me remember faster next time.

Will ZBattle ever be able to add multiplayer to DOOM, which could only have multuiplay via XBAND? That would be the shit, becase its damn near impossible to play The Ultimate Doom online with someone nowadays.

Mad thank for the link, SaBrE. Now, off to my local bargain bin for DOOM2, if I can find it. I was lucky enough to find The Ultimate Doom in perfect condition for $7. I just had to play “Thy Flesh Consumed” on Nightmare.
Have you ever tried KIAME/U64EMU? I cant get them damn thing to run KI at all.
Also, when ZBattle comes back up, anyone up for a beginning-to-end romp in Final Fight 2? I used to love doing those with a friend back when I was little.
