I respect that, though. It takes hard work to get the colors working right. Should be a lot easier once the super awesome it-will-take-a-year PalMod comes out. I’ve picked up a bunch of colors from people myself, but it’s generally always been with “please don’t share”.

I’m really dying for the new PalMod update (this will take a LONG time, from what I know), and to when we get to the state where there’s just a known great base of colors that look awesome. :tup:

As it is, people are doing great work here and there. Seeing Big3d going crazy with the extras, Pablo making cool Colossus edits, Geronimo’s Milk Maid teams, all the secret MvSF and MvC1 characters colors (thanks to Eidrian, Big3D, Magnetro, me, some others probably), Silver Samurai and Iceman finally edited OK – I’m stoked. The game is a lot more fun to me now. :tup: I was pretty fucking stoked to finally have a “fully” customized Tron Bonne (Gustaff + Tron’s outfit + Kobun all customized)… to quote JMar, “that’s cracking”.

Now I just need to make a gold Silver Samurai so I can compete with Pablo’s gold Colossus. :smile:

Anyways. The “secret” PalMod project is unbelievable to me. Play with PalMod now, but next version PalMod may be Super God Tier.

your finger lenght shouldn’t be a problem if u position your fingers so ur are pressing downwards when u press ur buttons, unless one of ur fingers is significantly FAtter than the other one. like if u dont bend any of the joints in ur fingers so they r flat and u press down.

Actually…if I didn’t care, I wouldn’t bother doing all this in the first place.

And, I’ve seen Docmighty’s colors (I’m near positive that was the mix that was in for the Hyo/Potter matches, but I could be wrong), they’re really good. I really like the “Knicks” Sentinel and “Peppermint” Mag. Actually…outside of my “Snow” and “Gold” version, I like his Sentinel colors over my own. He uses more bold colors, while I mostly use more solid ones…to each their own.

Also, for the record, it was fugee’s idea not to share colors 'til we’re done. I’m pretty sure my previous “track record” proves I distribute when I can.

It’s the way I press the buttons (top of the tips, 45 degree angle) - my style works OK for three button games (my ring finger countered it all previously), but it broke on convex Marvel 2(?) since my ring finger no longer balances my hand. I’ll figure it out. I’m having fun regardless.
As regards trying pointer+ring, I did that briefly as a test, but I’d get hand cramps, and I can’t do that since my hands (typing) are my livelihood. No worries, I’ll sort it out.

Haha, yeah, I retired right then. So much fun playing you guys. :tup: I was happy when I got the first win from him, 2 out of 3 was unexpected as hell. So much stuff I should have taped. It’s frustrating to come home with 12 hours of footage and realize you should have taped at least 4 hours more:

  • SRK wrestling events
  • intro to Momo’s
  • more low tier casuals (Flapp and VDO and etc were a lot of fun to watch, my 20 game win streak with SilSam and Megaman, the Guile and Charlie beastliness…)
  • more of Chicago’s unorthodox but effective Storm
  • Yipes beasting in the hotel room
    I packed badly - next tourney I’ll bring a light-weight camera backpack (my Kobun backpack, actually) for unofficial events. I only brought my heavy duty Tamrac backpack this time, and I feel like an idiot wearing that around. :smile:

I just finished encoding the last bits from Ohio, AND got a bonus set of matches from Hawaii in the mail (thanks Ryu S’!), and should be getting the Ohio FT7 footage tomorrow, so: lotsa good stuff should be up by this weekend. I’ll put up some more Ohio links in a bit. :tup:

hey prepps, i have the same problem playing on convexes (coming from concaves) smart bombs/lightning attacks/dashes/fly comes out much less than it used to…my middle finger was also bleeding the other day too.

Probably not interesting to Marvel-heads, but: this should be the Super Turbo Top 8 from the October 26th tourney at my house:

    I think that’s right - it’s 36 mins of footage, and the tape had 30m used, but Julian’s camera doesn’t have the time set, so I can’t verify via timestamps. But it should be the top 8 plus a couple minutes.

I’m capturing the 2 1/2 Seattle Marvel tapes I have right now, and I’m looking at Ryu S’s footage (need to rip from DVD- she sent me this super-awesome mini “DVD-R DS” camcorder disc - those things are awesome. I love the mini-CDs too, but those are 128MB, and this is 2.8GB - too good) while I fix up the new Marvel mix for Friday. :tup:

:lol: When you guys see the game I choked against Kuan, you’ll know exactly what I was talking about. Pitiful. No low block, no King Kobun (requires down-back) - full Cable/Tron die to messed up Storm/CapCom. Monster comeback for Kuan. :tup: I should have realized I desperately needed to be on the left side of the screen. Supposedly Kyle should have my old red stick fixed for this week, so our local stick quality should go up significantly. hopes So anyways, when I do put up the 11-9 Seattle footage, realize that most everybody who didn’t bring their own stick is fighting with a limp noodle. =P
