Last I heard was that Fidays are more ‘casuals’ than league since there’s only a fraction of people that show up. I don’t mind, there are people who cannot show up on Wednesdays. Because of my current p/t job situation of someone quitting, i have to work Fiday nights now…hope it’s temporary…
More importantly, there’ll only be three set ups at most on a friday, and the back room is completely unavailable, which means standing room only out at the front. so again, check with jon
Hidey, I think you put my ssf4 stats on the “win rate” chart for MvC3. I got smoked in MvC3, lol. think I had like 1 victory!..probably shouldn’t have said anything lol!

lol after purchasing the last mvc3 guide at jon’s today, i’ll sign up for both mvc3 & ssf4, but i can only come after 6-7 pm as i work late… is that ok ?
i HIGHLY recommend that if you’re new to the league and to Heroes World in general, DO NOT be afraid to walk up to ppls holding the league cards and be like “hey im new here, wanna play” or something to that degree. Unfortunately, Heroes World isn’t JUST a place for fighting games so alot of times we have people who come in and out just to watch, and as such, most of the guys in the league doesn’t know who’s playing and who isn’t. Like i said, don’t be afraid to just walk up and let us know you’re good to go.
ALSO, most if not all the guys at the store (save one or two ppl) are NOT douchebags. I can see why someone who’s new might get intimidated by Matt yelling “this game is so stupid”, Hidey saying “this game sucks” or even me yelling “that’s so bullshit!”, but we’re nice people, I promise. LOL And if someone is being a douche, let me or Jon know and we’ll see what we can do. Fighting games have traditionally been a community driven thing, and I’m sure we’d ALL rather it not be plagued by a buncha jerks ruining the fun for everyone.
If you’re new then here’s the formula:
- Look for syn13 on fightcard
- challenge him
- beat him
- ???
- Profit
This applies to both MvC3 and SSFIV. If only there were a Bomberman league…man I wish I hadn’t sold my DSi, sorta wanna play Pokemon Black/White!

Hidey and I have said MvC3 is a love/hate relationship. Usually for me, I love it more when I’m not facing a Sentinel… and I refuse to use the robot…

hope everybody appreciates the time Hidey took to set this up and tabulate everybody’s scores for them! Keep spreading the word folks that we got this going on and also be sure to post feedback so the league can be streamlined!
I notice the bonus points are somewhat confusing to ppl, so perhaps we should put a print out in the back room for ppls…and perhaps for next season we keep it simpler so you only track your wins and losses…means less confusion and less work for organizer(hidey). alternatively we could add MORE bonus points…perhaps goals that change each week (ie win a game with Dan week 1 or preform a mirror match with someone else’s main), we’d just have to make sure more ppl are aware of how it all works so everybody can help out

I did actually implement weekly bonus point challenges but not sure how many peeps were checking the thread and/or FB.
We can work to streamline the fightcards for next season to make things easier for anyone participating. I really welcome any and all feeback, questions, etc so League Players please don’t be shy.
I’ve very happy that our community is so cool and approachable…also guys don’t forget the flip side of this! if you see someone new (which you should be able to tell cause most of you are here every week!) issue them a friendly challenge or help them get in on a game! remember the bigger this gets and the more players we get the better off we’ll all be!
yeah…perhaps if i can get that whiteboard going we can just have a large chart instead that will be easier…or maybe we should just have one big community fight card with everybodys names on it…makes it easier for you to record and gets everybody together more
