Unfortunately we are limited to the number of tourneys held on one day, we have an open tourney for both Soul Calibur V and Street Fighter x Tekken Teams and then an Underdog for Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3. SCV and SFxT are generally slower paced games and we want to try to even the pacing with a game that generates more excitement and pacing.
We’re not trying to replace SSFIV AE with SFxT but since the game is still considered new, YRSF would like to give it a chance and see where it goes with a Team Tourney event. Underdogs is a proud tradition of YRSF to bridge the community together so we’ll definitely have the popular titles for the next event for the new/amateur players to take part in(SSFIV and UMvC for sure since they’re still main events for major and EVO).
i’m not asking why there’s no ae i was just wondering why the marvel tournament was going to be underdogs again. i think on the first page i asked if there were low turnouts recently. that answer is good enough i guess

Okay, this is important!
A few respected members of the community have raise a concern on whether Jing, Rikir, Magic and Blitzman should be allow to join this tournament and future underdogs. They are not exactly underdogs or top players. So usually I would let them join. I want to make sure if it’s okay with everyone here. And, if not, then i’ll put these guys on the suspect list and have a revote with the judges.
Please give me some feedback. I want to make this tourney as fair and enjoyable as possible for all underdogs.

As long as these guys aren’t consistently placing top 3-5 in tournaments, I think its fine.
They do not place top 3 consistently in tournaments, but they do place 4th-9th consistently. They can also beat top players like RDK, White_r etc. this tournament is meant for underdogs right? If you don’t consider them underdogs yourself, why are you letting them join? Aside from all that, I do not mind if they enter the tournament. If you let them in it’s fine with me.

Blitzman and Salman should be able to join. Blitz is free and Salman hasn’t placed high in a UMVC3 tourny.
And between you and me, im the better player since you cant combo on Tron.

I’d like to be entered as ~XP~ for Marvel if that’s alright.
According to the underdog rules ( for the first one i am using) which I believe is that an underdog has to have not placed in top 3 in any tourney or by just skill. So i am unsure if people like Jing or Rikir are allowed to compete based on that rule above. But either way, I am fine if they join or not, I honestly don’t see a reason why not. I have played against Rikir and sure he beats me most of the time, but there are a few times where i have gotten the best of him.
In my opinion: let them join
I should be able to join if AvariceX, Anesh, Peter Porker, and Disgruntled Goa can join. I believe they are strong players and have a fair chance of winning.
btw R-Nightmare beat me in tournament once so he shouldn’t be able to join. =P
