Yea, Cammy’s can jab walk you down and it will feel like there is nothing you can do. Never let that bitch in your face.

If Cammy was a guy, she’d be Hwoarang. That being said, Spacing out Cammy with Hwoarang’s Standing MP or MK is a good way to combat her jabs. If she jumps? Sky Rocket. If she flips at you? Sky Rocket. If she spin jumps? Sky Rocket. And if you do put on some pressure, use your Axe Kick to keep yourself at +1 to bait out Cannon Strike reversals.

Whoop dat finely shaped ass, Gentlemen.

What are some ways I can approach / footsie vs. Rufus and Marduk? Rufus has that low punch with huge range and Marduk can walk forward with his superman backfist and if I jump he usually grabs me out of the air.

Vs murduck iirc its just a guessing game at those ranges between is he gonna do that long move or is he baiting a jump. I haven’t tested it but its soo slow u might be able to jump it on reaction.
Against rufus I usually space out his roll kick move or get a little in range but not enough to get hit by j.hk and I neutral jump a lot. He can’t really hit confirm his cr.hp into launcher so don’t be too afraid and treat it like a fb, slowly walk fwd then downback and if he ever chains into that cr.hp u could dash fwd and punish. Btw i hate rufus

I don’t have a lot of experience with Hwoarang yet, but his standing :mp: seems to stuff a lot of Ogre’s pokes. Heck, it seems to stuff a lot of things in general.

I’ve been telling other hwos for a while now st.mp is one of the better pokes in the game it seems to randomly get more range sometimes and randomly crush low moves not to mention its hella fast and can be hit confirmed safely against most the cast. People I used to play with offline used to get hella salty about just that one move and want it nerfed. Iam number 2 online right now and the majority of my wins comes just from footsies

King D you gotta upload some matches, maybe against different chars so us lesser Hwo’s might learn

Hahaha I have some matches I put up but they weren’t really that great. If u search my gamertag ull see matches on yt but they’re mostly of me losing haha. Id like to upload a match vs zangief for people having a hard time with it cuz its starting to be a lot easier than it used to.

 that’s what I told him too. I love his Hwoa/Xia team. I watched his matches against jibbo about 3-4 times  learned a lot from it. Just search on YT for 'sfxt jibbo kingd’
He is a great help in general!

i swear there arent any really truly frightening hwoarangs on psn, i wanna fight king d >.<

Couldn’t agree more. I know mine and he’s shite

can u please because i have such a difficult time dealin with his shit

Ill try to get a vid up soon from my phone but when I play against giefs I look for a lot of their patterns on the ground. I first figure out what type of gief they play especially online, a lot like to gh into range (especially when they get frustrated with losing the ground game) make sure u stay out of range of their gh of choice (usually light punch) and whiff punish every time these type of players will a lot of times keep doing it until they are dead or start jumping. There are also giefs that like to jump into range and rarely use his air knee move a lot of times they will try to mix it up so u will be out of range to dp, but because they don’t use gh too much u can get into that range and dp any jump. But with these giefs u don’t want to use sweep to whiff punish cuz the recovery is horrible and one bad sweep could mean death. In general against jump happy giefs keep aggressive poking out and just try to whiff punish because again that jump can kill u. Those types of giefs aren’t that hard to beat it gets harder when u combine all that with stupid walking forward xx st.lk. but a lot of times giefs are very impatient and use his aggression agaisnt him figure out his limb of choice, st.mp outranges all his moves except st.rh and sweep so if u postion urself at the edge of st.mp xx st.fp chain basically he has to do something stupid to get in (it takes practice and experience but the easiest way for me to learn is to go into training mode and set the cpu gief to throw out cr.mk and st.mk and st.mp randomly then try to react and punish). then figure out his walking patterns (I actually feel like this is the most efficient way to win the game), if u notice that he’s stupid walking fwd throwing out st.lk than throw out st.mp xx st.rh. I usually look for movement after they throw out random limbs sometimes they wable then throw a move out then wable, somtimes they will move back forth and back forth then throw out a limb. A lot of times they get afraid of st.mp and will try to stick cr.mk out but just stay out of range and punish. The biggest thing is getting over the initial hump of whiff punish and figuring out the actaully range of st.mp(which I swear is random as fuck sometimes) and cr.rh once u start whiff punishing it gets easier and easier and its made my ae game way better. And idk if its known but u can hit giefs lariat before he actually finishes the animation. I usually just wait until I think the active frames are over and st.mp it I alos think u have to time in between hits but its kinda hard for me to explain cuz its more intuition now and every once in a while it still trades.

ok so i applied this and also i tried something different, most giefs abuse his crouching jab, raw launchers completely nuke that, also, using his standing mk as an anti air helps a ton, i also applied what u said and it helped alot, almost A+ now because of it

Akuma and Guile seem to give me trouble. It’s either DP mashing or Guiles that jab jab j.lk cross up jab jab, or do this weird trolly shit where they just jump around all day. I can AA them all day but still lose :frowning:

special stepping is amazing against them, with akuma and guile the key is to bait out flash kicks or shoryus, and in my caase i just started using raw launchers those help a TON since akumas like to spam low roundhouse

The most frustrating loses are when ur playing right and still lose. But I find dashing out of close jumps by guile and doing a2a j.lp, I think. With akuma I play very patient and pick the right moment but at the same time not letting him just get away with anything

I think my problem overall is I don’t play as much as I should be. I think I have “fighters block” lol .like I know the combos I want to do and have practiced, the ground game buttons I should be using. But the application isn’t there. I want to be able to take my Hwoarang game to the next level, just don’t know how.
