You only need to use logic to infer that if the game gets more inputs they would need to have a stricter execution, unless they want everyone to not be able to pull off the moves they want whenever they want them. It’s not something that WILL happen, it’s something that SHOULD happen.

Man! You guys can get seriously butthurt over something thats free & its a vidya gaem after all…

Considering how players are reacting to a free, non tournament, for fun mode it seems narrow minded and dull is the only safe way to go for a new SF game or the next Ultra update.

hondas buttslam vortex is real, hopefully un-jumpable u2, would be icing the cake

I don’t wanna be that guy, but people have different opinions about what they like. Some people will praise Capcom for this update while others won’t, it’s going to happen no matter what. We’ve all stated our opinions on the matter so I don’t really see a reason to bring up the same argument again and again.

It’s not about praising them or not, it’s about a not-insignificant segment of the playerbase screaming bloody murder and acting like Capcom fucked their parents in front of their burning house.

Fuck Omega SFIV

Probably will be much better than Ultra.

I read that it’s mainly for the lol’s and if you play online in Omega mode it’s basically just casuals, not ranked. I like Guile’s buffs and new shit, like the Charlie-ish sonic booms and new special moves. Even if people don’t take it seriously it’s still looks fun.

Have we seen any changes to existing normals or to Supers/Ultras? I’m starting to worry that they’ll only change specials and add new specials/command moves at this point. That’ll still be neat, but it won’t feel different enough to be fun for a longer period of time.

Modifying supers/ultras is likely too much work, these things are all recycled assets.

I doubt they will change normals, the pattern seem about add stuff more than change
The closest thing seem to be normals that look the same but get new effects, like Ryu’s targets (MP/HP/HK) or Blanka’s punch get vertical launch if done after Coward Crouch

For what we seen, the safe bet should be

-new special/EX special
-new EX special that eat 2 or 3 bars
-new command normals
-new effects on normals/specials/EXspecials

But it seem change character to character, example Honda got 3 total new not-EX specials (the salt, the charge and the back-breaker throw ), Guile keep it Guile style and got none (i’m counting the “remy kick” as command normal, maybe i’m wrong) but a lot of

But it’s their favorite pastime! What else would they do? Surely, you do not expect them to engage in a meaningful conversation devoid of pointless exaggerations, do you?

so when is Omega SFIV coming out? they said sometime in October?

All I’m asking for is data changes like JP, start-up etc. I’d also love it if you could do silly things like FADC/Super cancel Abel’s U1 after the crumpling cl.HK or Dash cancel the 2nd hit of Rufus’s Super.

No, they specifically said that the upcoming october patch doesn’t include Omega and that it would come at a later date.

It was probably dumb of them to announce Omega at the same time as giving out a date for the bug fix patch because people tend to skim things and a lot of people would assume that the Omega update is also part of the october update.

Is that the patch that will allow Edition Select on Endless Mode?

It gives me a reason to play edition select. I did’t complain after all those rose and cammy changes in ae(okay maybe I did a littlelot.) They didn’t even announce all of the bugfixes yet, so if people send combofiend more bugs, they’ll most likely get looked over. It helps with more messages sent to him through capcomunity.

I don’t think they said whether or not the edition select change would be in october or the later patch. That is an interesting question. AFAIK the upcoming patch is strictly a bug fix / unlisted change fix patch. However I have no way to know for sure.

Likely this will be only part 1 of the bug fixes and the remaining ones will occur with the Omega mode update. I’d bet on that.

Also I’m betting pretty heavily that they are almost only going to fix bugs that first appeared in USF4 rather than old bugs that would be easy to fix like Cammy’s chainable lights issues
