um uh i can rocket punch?

I can’t even rocket punch recently. Each time Sentinel is about to rocket punch, I cancel too early into the super and the guy can block the rest of the semi-infinite. That’s why I don’t play Sentinel these days.
I’ll Rate my skill level with each character I play:
Strider: My main man.
. I can do his infinite, easily rep the S/D trap and can just make combos out of nothing with him. I’ve got the “Strider AC” down pat and can adjust well with him. I give myself a 7 with him because I struggle with his bombxxorb cancel sometimes and I just got a stick and really suck at teleporting with it. These scores are the scores I would have if I was still playing on my regular controller, or what i will HOPEFULLY have when I get ack to the level I was at on the old controller.
Sentinel. I can’t FF. If I do, it’s always some stupid combo that’s hard and impractical. I can turtle like ho for 99 seconds though and do some pretty decent chip with doom’s AAA. I have some Combos into rocks too. I give myself a 6.
Doom: I have never been able to do his infinite. I have some B&B combos and I can do some ghetto rushdown with him too. I keep away and chip all day with doom. If anyone wants a lesson on “Runaway Doom”, just PM me.:lol: I give myself a 4.
Overall that’s like a 5.4, right? That’s not too bad, eh?
P.S. It sounds like your being a little hard on yourself RowJoe. From your posts, you think you’d be around a 5.
Maybe so, but IMO I suck. If I were to travel out-of-state, say to, AZ, TX, or CA, I’d get whooped like a damn scrub. :lol:
I can do some cool shit, like fast-flies and those Magneto infinites, but it doesn’t amount to much when there’s MUCH tougher opponents elsewhere.
Don’t get me wrong, though; MVC2 is my all-time favorite game and I play it daily. 
And yeah, Strider/Doom is the shit and is hella fun to play.
You should go to a tournament next chance you get. You might suprise yourself. S/D is fun, but hella hard to play. Strider has like special 30 moves and only five worth using. He’s still da’ shiz though!
No offence but this is dumb rating urself. wats the point u might as well just ask urself how good u are(which is wat ur doing).play ppl and let THEM tell u how good u are u might rate urself a 6 when to top players ur a 4 which is wat i do let them tell how good i am and my pros and cons. I play a lot of diff characters.
Mag, Cable, Storm, Sentinel
Ken, Cyclops, CapCom, Strider
Doom (rarely), Tron, Guile, Jill, Iron Man.
Iono. My teams are random and I don’t really think about specific team names. (Like Santhrax, scrub… mainly b/c I don’t know who those teams are.) I haven’t really gone to any competitions so I don’t know how to rate myself.
In open matches… I’d rate myself as 8/10.

Man, I’d say an 8 would go out to someone like Potter, Aero, Taiji, Julius Jackson, X, etc…
A 9 would be someone like Row, Soo, Sanford, Kuan, and maybe those two that beasted at ECC9. (Rick Mears and Jamarr, right?)
Justin would be the sole player who got a 10. Some may disagree beacuse of his style, but whatever.
Anyway, that’s just my opinion. I’m sure a couple of you have seen these people play in person and could perhaps make a better evaluation.

If I had to rate myself:
- Blocking Ability
- Ability to take advantage of opponent mistakes
- Combo execution
- Creativity
- Good at Baiting
- Very Impatient (I hate runaway Storm)
- I don’t use top tiers
My biggest disadvantage is not using the higher tier characters. For the most part, everyone that knows me, fears my Team Strong.

No I’ve never played J.Wong before. I’ve beaten plenty of other people with the shotos. X, Mixup, John Sindel, Vegita X, Issac and others has lost to my Team Strong, and Amingo/Anakaris/Juggy team. I’ve never traveled outside of the Southeast before.

That’s still pretty impressive. I’ve never seen anyone play well with low-tier teams. You goin’ to the tournament in Gainesville? If so, I’ll go just to see that.

- When in the air, I can handle most anything except Cable and a runaway Storm.
- Unusual style of play that catches people off-guard.
- Average offense
- Above-average aerial mobility
- Can play only one top-tier: Storm
- Play only female characters
- The characters I do play with have bad stamina (Morrigan, Psylocke, Chun-Li)
- Bad defense
Yeah, I’d give myself a 4 out of 10 simply because I have good mobility in the air and a different style of play, but that’s about all I have that goes for me.

And his combo vids are friggin awesome. I can’t even do half the stuff that he does on there. I would love to play him one day, much less meet him. His Juggz Y/Tron Y/Dr. Doom B team looks hella good and fun to use.
