I try to throw after parrying too often. Especially when I parry an air attack and try to throw before they land.

i tend to sweep too much. when matched up with a good player, they will just parry and punish me for it.

I don’t parry enough, which limits my punishment options somewhat. Like, sometimes, the only time I know I’ll be able to punish certain things is by red-parrying the last hit, but I never bring myself to do it.

Been playing Street Fighter IV too long I guess.

there arent too many situations where you really need to red parry or should even bother. especially online where its probably not going to happen unless its running REALLY good on like 0 delay.

really don’t bother. work on blocking more. sometimes you get antsy and are stuck blocking and want to get a lucky parry into punish. resist that and just stay blocking until you can start some kind of offense more safely. unless they do something stupid and you can reaction parry, in which case do so.

Remy Down HK sweep, I need to stop doing that shit all the time. Sometimes I get a lucky hit, but usually get punished. :oops:

Landing kara demon makes me so happy. Though i don’t get punished for overusing it as often as i should, i find myself at the tight end of the third round with no supers stocked far too often.

But then again I blame JR and Jiro for teaching me bad habits by example. :sweat:

I always fuck up on the DP when someone jumps in. ALWAYS.

  • I spam cr. jab/short to much (thanks SF4)
  • In close games, near the end I will go into “I need to land my super mode” (bad habit in all games)
  • I will wrap my mindset around being a parrying machine sometimes, instead of parrying naturally
  • Don’t punish whiffed normals as much as I should
  • I am too obvious with my attacks (aka get parried pretty easily)
  • I use Q

If you DP alot, anybody could just fish for parries… and get a awesome ass punishment depending on the character…

Spamming Chun’s fp. It’s hard not to, because I come across so many players that just let me hit them with back to back fp’s. Then I come across a good player that can counter it every time and I get jacked.

Sticking Makoto’s awesome normals out at a frame disadvantage and eating counter hits constantly. Her sweep may be awesome, but the shoto sweep, particularly Akuma’s, is scary.

That and trying to block cross-ups ala SF4 instead of just dashing out or parry option selecting…
