You Gotta Problem With Me, Bub? Wolverine Thread

Whats the “regular” air combo? I’ll check my numbers again, sure I had it higher than what I had already seen thats why I posted it  I’ve just turned my box off now, but got higher dmg mixed in with this using an assist now too.

And advatanges over supering in the air are that he has a choice of any of his supers instead of being stuck in the air, so he can use a lvl 3, beserker barrage x xx x-factor xx fun or DHC another character in easier.

Also varying the dive kick changes the side you land on for potential reset mixups?

Barrage loop works against every character in the game as far as I have know, only character that the timing is tight on is Amaterasu, now does it do more damage, no it does less than the standard drill loop unless you use 2 meters , but you can do resets into slash, grab, you can one touch kill 90% of the cast if you are willing to blow x factor, you can combo into level 3, so on and so forth.

I’m not sure it’s the best option, but you can do some neat tricks with it and there’s potential for crazier stuff in there.

I’d also like to note that the main issue here is that during berserker charge your specials(or normals) do not build meter.

L, M, cr. M, H, S, sj. M, M, H, xx drill claw, dive kick, st. H, S, sj. M, M, L, H xx drill claw xx fatal claw

I’m thinking of using it more for the position you’re in afterwards, whereas with air Fatal Claw not much you can do to keep pressure going. After a berserker loop you can mixup + call assist. Plus it’s just sexy as hell. I’ll also use it on Sent, catch him in a combo > launch > air combo > dive kick > land KFC > H xx L slash xx berserker charge > proceed to kill. Cuz I hate him.

For lower health characters that I hate, I’ll KFC after the first dive kick ground bounce, then continue the combo > Fatal Claw > death.

I don’t know if someone found tis out… but I haven’t seen anyone talk about it or use this: Wolverine’s instant overhead can hit big characters while only the Air short can hit small characters while you can use an assist to get a juggle into a launch. I was in training mode doing the air short into air short, into the claw (his air special… idk the notations for MvC3 and once you land you don’t have to really launch, but you can just do like st.m, st.h and then drill claw into dive kick or however your combo is.

The point is… on smaller characters that’s not Thor, Sentinal, etc, you can do 2 air shorts from the ground and the claw, which gets you a 3 hit combo, its sort of a tight combo, but you can keep going from there. If you guys want me to make a video of this, I could… since I’m not sure if my explanation makes sense because I don’t know much notations for MvC3. But I find this very good especially on small characters. It’s similar to the one Justin does but Justin does the air short once, without the air special… dunno.

yeah post up plz.

Given that Wolvy can do Berserker Charge then switch out while keeping it, what do you guys think is his best assist? Ive been using Berserker Slash for more options vs projectiles but I wanted to see what ya’ll were thinking.

I thought his berserker slash assist didn’t have any invincibility. (It said in the mvc3 guide iirc). I use berserker slash/barrage, but they pretty much all suck equally. Barrage can help with pressure, slash sometimes crosses up.

I use Tornado Claw, only because I haven’t found much of a use for any of his assists.

Dropped Sentinel for Wolverine cause I wanted more rushdown potential, especially if he’s last man with X-factor.

Speaking of which…oh my DAMN!!
X-Factor Wolverine = Rage.

Quickie question!!
What can I abuse…if I use BOTH X-factor (lvl 3) AND his Berserker Charge?

So…wave dashing is kind of hassle with Wolverine since inputting it how you normally would triggers Berserker Charge… but now you don’t have to worry about that yay! I just discovered this and searched for videos to make sure I wasn’t the first one to discover it, and sadly I was not, but you guys might find this especially useful for Wolverine. Also it makes back wave dashing way easier to me.

Theres a video earlier in this thread for the barrage loop. abuse it.

im really glad my friend convinced me to pick up wolvie hes a straight monster.

i love droping blockstrings then normal jump divekick for the stagger than proceeding to do a 600k combo feels nice hes my secondary on my Deadpool/Wolvie/Dante team (i know some of you all might be calling me a scrub for picking characters i like :lol) but this teams synergy is extremely high and they can all hold their own without assist. which is good because i cannot find a good assist for deadpool and wolvie im using quick work right now for some high low set-ups and berserk slash for random cross up attempts.
so what assist do you think deadpool should use to benefit wolvie?

Anyone come up with any Counterhit specific combos?

My logan/sent/dormama team is very good right now. I’m 100% with that team. Logan on point with sent drones covering him and crossing up opponents. Sent comes in I play keep away with him and build meter for dorm or wolverine.

B. Charge is activated upon a double :d: :d: input, how are you getting his hyper charge instead ?

Anyways, imo the best and quickest way to wave dash is merely by pressing: :atk: :atk: :d: :atk: :atk: After you input the normal dash command you instantly tap down and quickly release it to a neutral state and immediately press dash again, it’ll be second nature to you in no time.

Will if you did Wave dash Very quick, the very First 4 inputs will lead to a super (the Charge). :S i just do it in a slower pace.
by the way, Amazing thread

I wave dash using :f::l::m: since it doesn’t activate anything.

You can wave dash by plinking wish is pretty good, but if you don’t do it right you throw out a normal which could be a bad thing.

If I threw out a normal it’s because I wave dashed too early.
