After Shitenketsu on Gouken ex oga crosses up, walk back med oga crosses up

why I keep spending hours in the lab for these setups is beyond me
(CRANE) Forward throw, dash forward cMP jump MK (must be frame perfect by 1 or 2 frames)
the video i didnt use cMP but after lots of testing I find that frame perfect setup above works 100%
Nice, but which crouch mp?
craNE
Ok and that wraps up my Project Unblockable for Gen. Want to let you guys know I will not be around for a while. Some issues that will seriously take all the time I can muster. Thanks for everything and if all thing turn out well and I get a well paying job or my graphics designer career kicks up then I will be back in the lab but till then its job hunting for me lol! will leave the rest of the unblockables search to you guys. hopefully when I come back Gen will have 100% unblockables for all the cast therefore becoming the ultimate assassin lol!
SEE YA!
@ugo_2u According to your method. I try to perform this unblockalbe setup in this way. How about this?
Here is what I stumbled upon against Seth, because of work in the morning I cant research further tonight. this really breathes of potential for seth unblockable in the future.
these are all good finds, but some of these set ups just arent really practical. im tempted to make a list of stuff thats good for real sets against good players
I know, I am more of prototyping and proof of concept stuff, just showing possibilities which can be basis for more discoveries
it already exists, in the gen spreadsheet. I think it’s up to the Gen player which ones he wants to incorporate in his arsenal. In a lot of matches I don’t even bother trying oga cross-ups because it’s too hard. But against Ryu and Ken it’s so easy it aint funny.
the ones i think are more practical are those that have auto timing, like after a whiffed normal, or dashes etc. also the ones that work more than once. i think seeing gen flash yellow flying to the wall might be a give away to try an available escape.
makoto for example is easy to hit with the oga stuff, but she gets free punishes with that upward punch thing
i just think it ould be useful to gather the stuff that you can repeat. if thats in the spread dheet, then i need to take another look
1. Seth, TC2 x Light Gekiro, quick drop on the fourth kick, walk forward hard oga 2. T. Hawk: TC2 light gekiro, juggle low, quick drop on the 4th hit, hard oga 3. Ryu: possibly useful after stun, neutral Jump crane hard kick, sweep, medium oga on wake up with slight delay.
hands FADC into crane crouch light kick into instant sweep, medium oga
unblockable on
Ryu, Ken, E.Ryu, El Fuerte Vega
Cross up on
Honda, Gouken, Dan, Chun-Li, Bison, Sagat, Seth and Rufus
normal sweep walk back medium oga
unblockable on viper
cross on Adon
delay sweep medium oga
crosses on Dudley
That seems a little inefficient and hard to pull off, especially considering you use two bars. May aswell go for the guaranteed damage from a normal FADC combo. With this setup you waste two bars and you have to hope/guess they do a quickstand, if they don’t you’ve just given up two precious bars for pretty much nothing.
Dude ease up on me man, first of all I pasted it because its a standing unblockable set up and where does quickstand come in? Last time I checked sweep is untechable knockdown.
I didn’t write it because its easy to do. Most unblockables are not.
Take a chill pill bro. its not a must you must do it anyway
If you have a problem with the way I post, don’t respond or use the ignore function.
Why did u reply to the post in the first place. Why not ignore it since its inefficient?
Well, I love me some untechable knockdown into midscreen Oga tech for one. There’s aways a next layer for mind games, plus it’s pretty much guaranteed damage on tournaments.
These kinds of techs are changing my views on matchups a bit. I’m sure that Ultra 2 is the best ultra against Ryu if you’re going for solid play, but if you just need a couple of victories, such as is the case of tournaments, yeah, Ultra 1 for these setups that 99% of the Ryu players in the world aren’t aware of is god like. I could at least try to make a win with ultra 1, and in case I lose the other, I can just switch back for ultra 2.
Hope I don’t mess it up thought…
Because it may help you realise it yourself, seems rather logical? Not everything is practical, and it helps to point that out because otherwise some players or people new to Gen may think it’s something vital, when it really isn’t. Like c.lk fadc crane U1 is flashy but no Gen should use that in a real match unless it somehow guarantees the match etc. Labwork is great, but not everything found is vital. With a character like Gen it helps to say that because otherwise people have no idea where to start.
Anyone who wants to pick Gen should head to the beginners thread not unblockable thread.
This thread is for unblockbles. Now I know why players don’t bother posting their tech
