So I was messing around with the setups from this video
I somehow had different results:


Its an unblockable after fthrow in corner against cody, akuma and ibuki while being a fakecrossup against some others

I did fthrow in corner, reversal hp hands in first frame, crane j.mk and it turned out to be unblockable against cody, akuma and ibuki while not being fakecrossups against some of the cast like in the other video. It seems like in the video by TheHoigek the timing is slightly different than how I was doing it.

Are you on PC? From my tests, it looks like HP hands in PC recovers 1f faster than console, making PC version’s HP hands 39 frames duration while 40 frames in xbox. You need to waste exactly 39 frames after forward throw to make an unblockable against Cody and Akuma with crane j.MK I believe.

If you are on xbox, it means me and the mook were both wrong in HP hands frames.

Please if it have anything to do with PC being different just sweep it under the rug, we have alot of salty people in the FGC. if you want to waste 39 frames just neutral jump in crane stance (39 frames total)

Crane jump is actually 44 frames (4+36+4). Mantis st.MP > Mantis cr.MK frame perfect whiff should do the trick :wink:

Against Seth in the corner:
HK Gekiro > Mantis whiff normal neutral jump > Mantis st.LP > Mantis j.MK (unblockable, juggle Gekiro as high as possible)

i was on xbox, does that mean hp hands is 39 frames?
I will try out st.mp, cr.mk and see if it works too

Edit: just tested it, it also works with st.mp, cr.mk, but it is harder to time. Crane j.mk has to hit late even though I press it early to be an unblockable

Edit2: with neutral jump it didn’t work

for seth I just do a forward dash wiff mantis sweep then jump mk. are you sure about the jumping frames?

Yes, I’m sure about the jump frames. When you go jump -> jump, you have to count 4f recovery frames into account, and his crane jump is 36f airborne, while having 4f pre-jump frames.

With Seth it all depends on how high you juggle him. I was just trying to find the easiest way possible, because there’s no way you can not do mantis neutral jump frame perfect :slight_smile:

I would have to assume so. There are other ways to waste 40 frames (forward dash > crane cr.MP for example), and they don’t make it unblockable. Or it might be 40 frames but it can do 1f earlier or something. Unfortunately I do not have a recording device for consoles, so I cannot test this. On PC it is 39f for sure.

I thought crane crMP is 19 frames. oh well I am losing touch, if you are looking for seth unblockables head on to my vid on the ones I have found, maybe will help.





Looks like I was wrong. I thought SRK wiki was based on mook, but the mook said HP hands is 39f in total duration.

EDIT: Crane cr.MP is 21f, and mantis cr.MP is 19f

Does anyone have a list, excel or word notes with Gen’s unblockables?
I usually do my own on a sheet of papper, and im trying to transfer everything to word, but Gen has a lot.
It would be great if someone have it
