This is completely useless. Who are these Ibuki players you’ve talked to?
Not one mention that the orb can be SJC’d into, just a very unsafe “I want to die” full-screen Ultra.

=( I don’t want to sound overly harsh, but realistically, I don’t want to see any Ibuki player attempt this, it’s suicide.

EDIT: You can deal about 570 damage just by doing j.HP, st.MK, HK Kazegiri, MP Kasumi Susaku; and about 540 if do it from a st.MP instead. This works on every character, and is not corner, spacing, and Seth/Sagat specific requiring a full Hashinsho.

I know almost nothing about Ibuki, I was just trying to help support him. Everyone knows the Ultra from there is unsafe, but I knew he meant to use this as a miss spaced poking punish.

I actually just tested it and the first orb hit is 13f. Pain in the ass to test btw with the stupid perfect KOF input nonsense.

Technically is, it ended with a LK Kazegiri for extra less damage.

I just noticed his j.HP , cr.HP xx jump xx super , U2 combo is inferior. It only does 37 hits while it should be doing 41.
1+1+12+27 = 41

Misspaced/timed the super and wasted 4 kunais.

How can you tell?

I’ve played around with Kazegiri -> Super so much, I can tell through the sound and how fast she recovers, also, LK Kazegiri’s start-up is much faster.

When I teach other Ibuki players I always point this out to them, I know they’re not doing HK Kazegiri because they can’t safe-jump after it either.

Finally, it’s LK and not MK because it did 2 hits…

You can tell a difference of 2frames? According to frame data, she only recovers 3frames faster than MK kazegiri, and exactly the same recovery as HK kazegiri.

She sounds the same to me for all three versions.

Try this out:

  • st.HK, LK Kazegiri, instant jump; and again substituting HK Kazegiri

Maybe not how fast she recovers, but her opponent can definitely faster relative to her. Perhaps it’s because LK Kazegiri doesn’t lift the opponent as high above the ground.

I wouldn’t want to attempt a safe jump off an untechable knockdown anyways. Your opponent can always delay their quick rise. Everytime I get a kazegiri knockdown, I somehow go straight to kunai vortex without even thinking about it.

I just tested the loop. It doesn’t matter if it’s LK, MK, or HK: they will all do 2 hits at that spacing.

Give me a few moments to set up my console and show you.

– Sako did his on Super, not AE.
– If you do a HK Kazegiri on a launched opponent (st.HK for example), you can safe-jump if they tech, similar to Ken.

Did something change from Super to AE that I’m not aware of?

Yeah you’re right, LK Kazegiri is much faster, I’m got it wrong because it was from a loop I don’t usually do.

AE reduced it’s damage afaik.

I’m talking 41 hits to 37 hits. But anyways, I’m sure the damage is the same too.

Haha okay, after a long talk, let’s clear things up.

He did do HK Kazegiri. LK Kazegiri is much faster, and you can’t do three hits (with Kazegiri) on Sagat after looping him twice in an EX Tsumuji Combo.
Kasumi Suzaku (Super) damage is exactly the same, I got confused because damage scaling kicks in differently on characters with different Stamina (HP).

I apologise for even attempting to make claims even though I didn’t have a set-up.
The video’s content is still useless, but the presentation is top-tier.

I can understand that you may be proud of doing these “hard” (subjective) combos, but imo taunting afterward makes you look like a noob and that you were only able to do the combo once out of like 1000 tries.
