I did wonder about that 5 frames bit tho, I knew it was a small amount of time but never could find the exact number, thanks fanatiq. I got a question for you, is it the same situation when doing, for instance, sj short dash down fierce? Is there a certain number of frames where you will get fp too?
yeah that ps2 pad thing was too good i didn’t know who he was so after the match i go look at his tag so i know what to put on the match and notice he has a pad in his hand i thought he was on stick the whole time
heh, i dont like console sticks myself either. shit moves around wayy too much especially when doing sentinels fly/unfly crap.
i used to play on dc pad back then but i cant anymore because its insanely hard to mash out of the tempest, do rom infinite, or fast fly combos with sentinel due to the way i play. I use my thumbs unlike most other pad players which really doesnt help when triangle jumping.
nowadays i use a customized stick which is heavy as hell, it still moves around a bit when i play on hardwood floor and fly around with sentinel. it doesnt move nearly as much where i have to readjust it every 5 sec like when playing with the mas or other lightweight sticks.
and yeah, msp is broken as hell. good shit nonetheless
haha. There is no exact number, sometimes five works, sometimes it doesn’t and yep there is a number before you can do an air dash after a short or anything. If the short hits it’s usually like 10-11 or so. If it doesn’t, it’s like 3 or so.
Macros were allowed this year, but you have to be able to set the buttons up in the config screen. This means no directional + buttons at the same time.
I played MVC 2 one button dash for years…i am completely giving up stick now and i am trying to master holding the right side of the pad like a tittie with my thumb and pinky holding the bottom right side of the controller and my index and middle finger doing x, square, triangle, circle. I am gonna try and use my first to finger joints closest to the top of my fingers for the lower row of buttons and the tips of my fingers for the top row of buttons.
Not sure which control pad I am going with…debating x-box which feels cofortable right now and ps2 which i have more experience. perhaps in a couple years Ill be a beast, right around the time when the euros catch up to the rest of the world.
