I’m wondering the same shit.
I don’t see why not.
Chances are, this game is only testing for new ideas for another Guilty Gear or something. If anything, we possibly won’t see this game for an arcade/console for another year.
It seems my wallet is telling Sammy to go fuck themselves.
Haha wallet? yeh whatev, I’ll hack this noise like I’ve done all the twaks and updates. I bought GG, I bought X and I bought X2. I view sequels by storyline changes. Everything else can be dl’d and viewed as a patch.
So, how 'bout that new Madden, eh? It’s the shit, isn’t it?
We can upgrade a sports game every year (yet keep it largely the same, and still have tons of bugs), but not a fighting game? Come on now. Slash is still worth your money. Slash didn’t come out until ~6 months after the arcade release, and AC probably won’t be in arcades for at least 4-5 months, so yeah, that’s still a year or so until we get an AC we can play.
Make Dizzys tits bigger. Balance that shit. Too broken.
also wasnt there a thread way back showing GG Slash coming to xbox 360 in japan? or was that proven fake/scrapped?
ah shut up. I don’t go to the arcades and play all these revisions. So I usually see the latest revision BEFORE the big updates like DR and Evo. FT never even came to console…
SFII revisions spanned across 4 years, and GG looks to be doing the same thing. SFII went from 1991-1994 and GG 2000-2005 (with huge leaps between X and X2, and Reload to Slash) SFII released about 2 revisions in 1992, and then 1 revision each for 1993 and 1994. The major difference between SF revisions and GG revisions was that SF revisions actually mattered. SF at the time was reinventing the fighting game genre and included many “firsts” to the genre, such as CE’s Same character select for example.
GG’s changes were simply roster additions and balance fixes. So nominal that the regular fighting game fan wouldn’t notice. In fact, I was sitting in a room full of such people (myself included since I haven’t played since X2), and they said all they see is new characters. Of course, not having played GG since X2, I couldn’t tell them exactly what has changed. But I knew it wasn’t much compared to the old 90’s days of SF.
SF series actually introduced 1sts, and major changes across the board with each new release. So much so, that it didn’t spawn SF3 until many many years later. If you know your SF history, then youll know what I’m talking about.
So essentially you are an elitist snob who thinks that since something isn’t “revolutionary” it doesn’t have the right to have “updates”. Stellar, care to inform us about how superior Pink Floyd is to every artist around and how that Dark Side of the Moon revolutionized modern rock as we know it, and then have no idea what Adam Heart Mother is?
Did you know that Guilty Gear has introduced revolutionary firsts and have completely game altering changes with each release? I’m not sure if you did but that’s something you might want to know. Burst, Guard Meter (although altered, is still extremely new and unique), Instant Kills, and character designs are all 100% new, even if slightly varied, but then again, everything copies from something else, you cannot invent the wheel twice, but you can invent the car. Guilty Gear is the car, and SF2 is the wheel.
Damn I wish their would be more ports to the Xbox. All the damn 2D games the Xbox gets are just the old-school ones dammit.
Hmm…seems that I may have been wrong in writing this off as just a minor revision. Guess all I can do is wait and see for myself, assuming it gets a US release.
lol at people putting off learning guilty gear because of a new release. its been the same engine for years. stop making excuses and play the damn game.
small changes can make a big difference
 that doesnt stop Slash from being a good game right now. just start playing now so that whenever the new one comes out, its an easy transition.
if i had to say, guilty gear character design is only about 50-75% original (depending on the character)
some of the references are pretty blatant. Slayer being obviously taken from Alberto & Chujo of Giant Robo for example.
the designs are “original” by way of MANY other people’s ideas, a blender, and LOTS of buckles. i have no doubt that the producers of the games are huge anime fanboys (justice’s EVA colors and dizzy’s rozen maiden colors)
but to say the character designs are 100% original just ain’t true.
I meant in the sense of gameplay and synergy.
[Quote=Mynusdono’s translation of I-No changes]
wow that is some horrible translation…here is the correct I-no changes…
FB move added: Kyougen Jikkou (aerial 236+P, K, S, HS) less recovery on landing. (not sure about the overall properties of this move yet…it could be how you posted above Nekich…)
-Overall damage increased. (wtf)
-Very sexually suggestive death scream. Its embarrassing =\
Changes:
Special Moves:
-S taibokuwo sasuru te. Enemy floats on counter hit. Enemy floats away on normal hit.
-K Kyougen jikkou. No longer slams down the enemy on the ground, possible to combo after hit. (same properties as #r)
Normal Moves:
-6HS now pops your enemy up on hit. Possible to connect standing K in mid screen. (wtf too good)
-JD. floats the enemy higher on hit. (not sure about this one)
-JHS. Wall bounce added on aerial hit. (again W…T…F…)
---------WTF

I am so happy.
-9
overall damge was decreased
Either way, that’s some potentially high-tier stuff there.
