u1 is 8 frames, u2 is 8 frames. 1 frame punish. also, fei will get smarter, and they will start hit confirm into rekkas, or learn how to bait and counter hit with rekkas on block.

all these damage nerfs are scaring me. the big question i’m asking myself right now, am i ok with dud getting buffed in utility and nerfed in damage?

edit: reading these fei nerfs, you guys have no idea how substantial these are in the dud match up. no more s.mp, chickenwing loop, no more flame kick fadc for free pressure, no more randomly getting hit in the back of the head for blocking a chicken wing, no more counter hit 2nd hit rekka, no more free 2nd hit rekka chip, no more ridiculous damage on flame kick fadc chicken wing… catches breath

These Fei nerfs are going to do wonders for the Dudley match up. Rose buffs make me sad. I just hope my personal grovelling at Ono’s feet at Evo left any kind of impression on that troll. If I see a faster cr.MK I will cry tears of joy.

rose buffs seem w.e. only thing that really caught my eye was cl.mk being +4. that move is already hella good at blowing up crouch tech.

so far cap nerfed my 2 least favorite match ups in significant ways that help dud. sadly rose, chun and guile saw buffs so we’re not out of the woods just yet. last 2 chars i’m hoping to see nerfed are ibuki and yang.

gouken got buffed, gouken is way too good now. Even with his free wake up, his rush down is hard to get away from and same for his fireball game and corner pressure. God dammit, too many characters got buffed and the UNNECESSARY got nerfed. This is AE + Vanilla with just a few nerds. Balrog is gonna be a pain. Considering his already good footsies… oh well. We’re going to just play harder and smarter.

Guile doesn’t actually bother me. That is just a match up of patience and careful spacing. I would personally love to see Ibuki get nerfed, but she honestly doesn’t deserve it. Dudley just needs to be buffed in a few ways so that match up can even out a bit. I will be shocked to see Yang get out of this without nerfs.

And yeah, Gouken might be pretty beastly.

definitely agree, fei long did way too much damage to have a sweep combo, honestly he already had the tools he needed… You had to play total defense… Ken on the other hand… pretty much easier to deal if you learn the kara throw patterns. Kens sweep is nonpunishable, though.
