Played at my first tournament since Evo. Lost to Sabre’s Sak and SNK’s Honda once again. I think I need to really start studying those match ups a shit load more than I have. We started streaming some of our tournaments again, so if you see Hazmat streams up every other Friday, come on in and troll, or just watch and enjoy. I help out with commentary sometimes as well, so you can hear my dumb ass rant a bit.

Turtle is Mr. SNK’s birth name I believe. I can usually do well against both him and Sabre in casuals or at the arcade, but in tournament, they just have so much more experience and patience than me. So, I just got to level up.

http://www.teamhazmataz.com/ links to Justin.tv and youtube are there. Haz is trying to get Blazblue, MvC3, and SF4 tournaments twice a month on Fridays. We invited the MK scene as well, but literally two guys showed up, so I guess that game is out.

Lately, our scene is lacking people that are truly hungry to get better so feel free to troll. Hopefully the fear of not looking like scrubs on stream will up our game.

Hugo’s worst matchup has to be Dudley. Superior ground game, he will kill you for jumping, HK will keep you from hitting buttons, and Shortswing Blow comes in handy for both escaping throws and in combos because of Hugo’s fat hitbox. Akuma and Ibuki are also bad, but Dudley is the worst grind. There’s a reason even Hayao switches to SA3 when he fights him, it’s just that hard.

so uh. i was thinking of making a revised ‘dudley character specific punishes’ thread. i’m willing to sit and write everything down and keep it updated but i want some feedback from you guys on if it’s cool. i know we have the old one and the rose garden thread but the information is very scattered and i think it’d be a good idea to have a constantly updating thread with consolidated information. if at the very least it can be a quick reference.

so yea… what do you guys think? enough positive feedback and i’ll get started right away.

Anybody watched the Starbase Arcade stream? I watched Hiro’s Gouken against Amnins’ (i think thats how you spell it) Dudley. So I take it that its a bad idea to duck his fireballs? Seemed like no recovery at all

His fireballs are just slow enough where by time you want to duck, he’s already recovered depending on the distance.
