If I got the 2 year extended warranty and if Gamestop’s warranty kick in after the 1 year warranty ends and I got it in August 08.

In sweden there’s an obligatory warranty of 3 years at all times. So I got a new ps3 anyway!
Well, it’s reading disc again for some reason but when I exited the game, a lot of icons failed to load (like the turn off console icon) and took some time to shutdown which I can assume means it is nearing death.
Lets feast…Like Gentlemen.
That’s how mine died. At first it just wouldn’t read my games consistently then it would start crashing randomly until one day when it just couldn’t read anything at all.
Tried it today, game loaded fine and shut down fine. No freezing.
I’m thinking the lens is dirty. Gonna go pick up a blu ray lens cleaner.
Update: No dice and now it is beginning to not recognize DVDs all the time :[
Send it off for repair. There will be someone on the internet who does ps3 repair for a reasonable price at asensible distance from you geographically

I’ve heard a lot off ppl complaing about them breaking down eventually.
It was a 80GB with no backwards compatibility from August 2008. Pretty much broke down on time after all the warranties ran out.

I almost forgot. Last night I watched SJDueces play a match against a rose, and she activated Soul Satellite, and he threw a rose and canceled it out. It was the most classiest thing I’ve ever seen.
