Im still most interested in Aja.
It says she has no mid-level attacks or throws-- I wonder does that mean she only hits with lows and overheads or is it about range? Also no throws?
The rest of the stuff about her being about breaking the opponents guard sounds great to me. I also like that her face looks like Cammy now lol.
The other two new characters sound great too. It makes me wonder what kinds of moves they will add to the original 8
Are people still playing 4.3 online? If so, how do I get matches in? I finally decided to “acquire” version 4.3 of the game since I already backed the kick starter for AoC and I’m just waiting for that to come out.
Not really unless you live in the west coast America because you have to jump through some hoops to get it to work and if not, I’d rather wait the month and a half until AoC comes out. Until then, I’ll just practice parrying and try to figure out some Hanzo combos.
I live in Nor Cal if you wanna get some games in. I picked up Hanzo too, but I don’t think I’mma main her. I just like her for her EX command grab and her command grab super. She seems like a solid character, but needs away to get in on projectiles IMO. Hopefully they make her telleport invincible like Akuma’s.
Edit: Also, how do you practice your parrying? I tried to use the record feature in training room, but I have no idea how to set it so that I control the opponent character so I can practice the different types of parries. I’m really having a hard time trying to figure out how to parry myself. I’m more used to the method in 3S, not having it tied to a button.
Been working on a setup with Hanzo. It might be an unblockable setup. Not sure cuz I don’t know how to control the training dummy to get it to counter poke the unblockable.
Oh yeah? I’ll totally try out a match then! I can probably play sometime this saturday if you’d like or monday
About training:
you have to hold down whatever you set the training button to for a few seconds until recording pops up on the screen and then you should be able to control the character and press training button again to finish recording. Press the training button to play back the recorded inputs whenever you want.
about parrying:
you just press either the upper BL button or the lower BL button depending on the attack you’re parrying similar to third strike. after you parry you can hit forward to counter. I think the window to parry is actually smaller than in third strike
anything you didn’t understand just ask and I’ll try to reiterate
one thing that not puplicl know is that one can set delay in game during character select. can’t remember which buttons but it was a letter key on the bottom row that change ping. (ports must be open in order to host)
EDIT they did say it was but no updates on it i would hope this comes out soon as it was schelduled for 4 qt of 2013 but never cvame out
i would buy this the second it came out
