Seems like everyone can combo jabs and stuff after universal lp+hp overhead if the opponent is crouching. I think Hina’s recovers a bit quicker though and can even combo after it on standing opponents as well.
Edit: Hina can even combo lp+hp > df.hp sweep on crouch, although sweep doesn’t seem to be all that important in this game.
@Warp yeah I just realized that while you can’t aerial special cancel her jPs, you can on her jKs…meaning retarded double overheads all day.
I can only imagine what it was like when you could special cancel c.LP…probably too retarded.
Thanks for this, I completely was thinking it was a bug that I could do my other super…so it’s just a damage boost makes sense (always boost Shimo’s P then IMO, shit combos off anything and everything)
Ah, well, in that case, derp. I thought the same as siblade.
Yeah, she has that c.viper thing going on with the air pressure game. I guess it depends on the properties of the parry in this game as to how effective it is.
Parry seems to have no downside. I tried mashing it while blocking, and I never stopped blocking, but I didn’t parry either. Still, well timed parries will work without messing up your guard.
I don’t see why it wouldn’t work against cross-ups. It is just a button after-all.
Also, the first hit of Kou and Crow’s qcbx2 Super guardbreaks.
Not true when going for red parries.(=from blockstun animation) Your character WILL get hit when you try to time it but screw up. I don’t know how and why but that’s what happened when I tested it.
You have to beat arcade mode a couple times to unlock it, then go to the unlock thing in the main menu and select yes on the unlocks.
Speaking of which, does anyone know what all of the unlocks specifically do? There’s like 10 but I can only tell a difference when the Japanese hype commentary and the assist commentary are on, the others don’t seem to change anything notable.
Parry needs a whiff animation of some sort. Seems pretty dumb to just OS block/parry a jump in or something. I thought making it a button was supposed to reduce the amount of OS options?
