Because trying to search Pixiv for ヤタガラス is a pain.
Yeah, it seriously is. Made an account a few years for it but forgot my login info and I’m too lazy to bother making another. Pretty sure there’s some good yata fan art on there by now but I’ll wait until someone ups images to danbooru/gelbooru lol.
Is it really that hard to get Google IME and typing in katakana?
I got a chance to play the already released version of this game. It is all kinds of awesome. Definitely donating and recommending other people do too.
I have a dilemma. I want to donate but school is around the corner and I gotsta save the little money I have
But I feel like I should still do it
It’s $10. Man up dude. Get a paper router or something. Deposit some bottles and cans.
Yo WTF happened to the donations. I could’ve sworn it was a little over 39,000 last night, but now it’s at 36,000.
Yeah, I’m gonna donate a good bit this upcoming Monday probably. I enjoy YGS a very good bit.
Come on GGPO!
Ill be donating simply for ggpo.
As far as parrying goes, I really hope they either implement it like blitzkampf (preferred) or at the very least cvs2 (with the very precise active window). The whiff animation would get rid of all the really dumb 3s option selects, the smaller window would limit parry fishing.
The Option Selects are undone by the blinking on the HUD indicating when you’re Parrying.
Hiya-san (hanzo user) streaming live now. casual netplay matches. He usually streams for about 1-2hrs so jump on it quick if you can.
EDIT:
Off-air. Hit up the archives, I guess.
Hiya’s ranking/tier list
He said he never really thought about it before but:
- Hanzo (bias much?)
- Jet
- Crow (strong, standard play)
Shimo (“4th maybe 5th”)
Jyuzu (“also strong”)
Kou, Hina, Chadha (“not sure”)
I jusr thought of this; they should get Spooky as a commentator. Failing that than Chris Hu.
https://twitter.com/search/realtime?q=%23yatagarasuapp&src=hash
so the game tweets out your info after netplay sessions. Includes stuff like rank, duration of play, number of matches played, win streak, what character used, etc. Really sick features. These guys may be on to something. A shame more people aren’t hip to the game.
Hitting up Spooky would would be a serious power move for them if they could get him to promote the game. Good luck getting in contact with him though lol.
The final dynamic English commentator has been announced. David Philip Graham (aka: UltraDavid) has been selected as the final English commentator for Yatagarasu: Attack on Cataclysm as announced in a press release by Nyu-Media.
In regards to the questions people had in reference to the parry system, I have yet to receive any response yet on this.
Meh. They really dropped the ball when it comes to commentators.
I admit, I would have wanted someone more better than the 3 chosen but then again, I don’t play the game with the commentators so it doesn’t really matter to me who’s picked. I’m pretty sure others do though so I’m uncertain as to how they feel about this. It’s still too early to say anything because we’re just only about over the halfway mark and no where near the stretch goals.
Well…At least UltraDavid actually PLAYED 3S lol (…right? makoto I think?)
Honestly, the devs should just continue on doing what they are doing. I’m seeing far too many people come up with suggestions and propositions for a game that’s NOT BEING PLAYED and I’m pretty sure the people throwing up these lists aren’t playing the game themselves versus OTHER PLAYERS (more than one random dude you picked up off the street) and at a competent/high level (use ReplayTV as a reference at least).
Earlier, I made speculations about parries, then actually PLAYED THE GAME VS OTHER PLAYERS (three to be exact), applied my theories in actual matches, and had said theories shot down in just a few games. Learned my lesson and I won’t be so quick jump to conclusions about how strong/weak I THINK a strat may turn out to be w/o applying it to a real-match setting.
Right now, I feel the devs are doing a great job with balancing out characters and system mechanics. However, I could in fact be wrong about this later down the line as more people get into the game (hopefully) and start to break it down and apply knowledge to real-match settings rather than sit at home in their vacuumed environment throwing out suggestion after proposition based on their training mode theories.
EDIT:
Anyone know how to do FULL SCREEN settings (or something close) for yata using Win7!!! Full screen setting for me right now is just giving me a small window with a huge black boarder around it. Shit looks ugly. Help.
