For all you EX-Mantis lovers out there, I’ve been using an interesting new technique. Well… new to me :p.
After reading Arlieth’s Yang faq for like the third time, I figured I’d apply one of the techniques he mentions. st. Short. It is a very great poke that can sometimes be used like Ibuki’s st. Jab. But the real kicker in this is that EX-Mantis links from st. Short. It’s difficult but I seem to be getting better at it through practice (who would’ve thought?).

There were a couple things on Arlieth’s faq that could’ve used an update, but I forgot what they are. Have to re-read it.
I have a few Kuma-Yang vids. Visit the GoForBroke hub. If I’m there just look through my shit. Actually I have a hell of a lot of Yang vids. Just look around.
Oh yeah, make sure to download Yang.RAM. Stuff in there I have never seen before (till that). Not very practicle combos, but cool as hell none the less. Like the saita vid.
DC don’t work very well on PC

No direct links out there, or torrents that I know of. If you can link me a tutorial on how to set up torrents I’ll probably make some. My computer is kinda acting wierd right now though.:bluu:

Someone know what’s the best combo in Sei ei Enbu ?
The best seiei-enbu is the unblockable:
Downed opponent:Activate SAIII>as opponent rises, crossover with RH dive so only shadows hit>c.Strong>c.RH>repeat
The biggest one I know of is:
Corner:Activate>UOH>Jab Mantisx2>c.Strong>Strong Mantisx2>Kick chain>Fierce Mantisx3. I think that adds up to 34 hits.
I’m not sure what you mean by how many times for dl-ing a list. Try different people, or right click then browse.

Fake-unblockable. Pretty much everybody gets hit by this, so it just looks like an unblockable. If you just block away from the “real” yang, all shadows are blocked. Still it’s good cause not many people can or know how to block it.
:eek: are you talking about arcade or DC version??? my understanding has always been that on DC it is as you say but in arcades it is truly unblockable because it hits from 2 ways at once. i’m sure you know youre stuff but you’ll have to forgive me cause if you are talking about the arcade version this will be the first time i’ve heard anything like this
It’s true, it’s not unblockable in the arcade, either. The shadows aren’t like fireballs, so it’s only pseudo-unblockable. That bastard vic vance blocked my crossup combos, living proof.

That sucks about SAIII. With the addition of a UOH I think that SA is still very deadly though.
I started playing with SAIII Makoto, and damnit her command throw is good! If Yang’s was that good he would dominate.
Burning: I’ll try those websites. As for GFB Hub, sometimes it takes a long time to dl a list. Just try other people. Or better yet, use the search function to find the file and just dl it like that.
Well I’ve started playing a little differently. More offensive I think.
Recently I’ve been using Mantsx1 a lot. Very randomly, and after things that would’nt even connect like cr.Jabx3, cr.Shortx2, st.Short stuff like that. The hard part is following through only if the first hit connects. Seems to be working pretty good though.
I got the inspiration for this technique from some vids I dl’ed. wrb-031227-1-02 yang twelve.wmv and wrb-031227-3plc ken yang.wmv. If anyone goes on the hub grab them from me and tell me if you know who is playing this Yang. He does that technique, plays with Forward color, and uses SAIII.
Be very careful about throwing out slashes… if you do any part of any strength slash on ken (and he blocks), he can reverse with a super (keep an eye on his bar). Also take care to do the slashes at as close to max range as you can visually calculate, because hugo can reverse with a 360 (I learned this “first-hand” from 720). In some cases, it’s good to block and try to screw them up by employing the second slash with random timing or not at all, but that reversal will still happen regardless if they time it properly. So be wary of that stuff, especially since yang takes damage like a puss.
Can’t believe SRK got hacked. I hope whoever did it got slapped.
Anyway, before it did I had a question. Are Mantis slashes pretty much guaranteed to hit after a blocked shoto sweep?

Hacked, eh? That explains a lot. I thought I was going nuts. Replies disappearing and what-not.
Anyway, according to karathrow, the blocked advantage on a shoto sweep is -13. Yang’s slashes all start in 9 frames (ex starts in 8). So, yes, slashes are guaranteed after a blocked sweep.
