Don’t bother, Insert Coins doesn’t have that game last time I checked. Plus most/all of their important cabs are ass. I love the place, but not for arcade gaming. You’ll be better off playing on my stuff or at Gemini Arcade Palace if you have the means to get there. Gemini’s stuff is emulated, but at least it’s on a nice Net City cab. The place is about 8 miles east of Rio, on Flamingo and Sandhill.
btw, anyone from Toronto/Ottawa still reading this thread? I’ll almost certainly be in that area in a few weeks but before Evo. Would love to meet up for some games/just to chill/whatever. LMX/MKP/Retro/etc…hit me up if you still have my number whoever did have it from last year’s Evo.
A few weeks ago i had some matches with flatline on ggpo. After our matches he said that Prozac Nation will be on later that night and he suggest that i play him in mvc3.
Now, enduring alot of jeff’s sidetalk and bullshit, i waited for prozac and i asked him to play me a few in the name of entertainment, and he agreed.

Shiro: Anything tournament that goes down with my stuff is entirely dependent on the interest onsite at Evo. I can rally all I want on SRK for any interest (which I did in a few posts above and got little or no response…) but none of it matters until Evo rolls around and I see for sure how much or how little interest truly exists. If enough people come up to me asking for a tournament, then I’ll consider it. Otherwise, you can count on at least some casuals for now. I’ll be set up around the ST area if possible so people can find me there.
Speaking of which…does anyone have a US or Japanese xvsf CPS2 board? I have a Hispanic one that doesn’t allow free play in the CPS2 menu, which is a pain. I’m pretty sure it’s version 2 (100496) but otherwise, I’d love to get one that is either phoenixed or straight up US/JP either version 1 or 2. If anyone has one that they are or are not willing to part with, feel free to bring it to Evo if you want to at least get some games in on it.

jimmy1200: Friday might be tough for me if I have to work that day. If I do work, as soon as I’m off work in the afternoon I’m heading down to Rio and setting up a spot with my stuff and/or hijacking one of the ST stations if the guys are nice enough to let me. There should be plenty of superguns there for that tournament.

Just last week i was talking with prozac about that gambit combo. I told him that the only person i can get it on 100% was dhalsim, and no bullshit, 2 days later this vid was released…i laughed my ass off when i saw it.
Now this guy has a nack for doing backward combos on juggy. He studied his hitbox VERY WELL. I applaud his work.
There’s a big question on if Toxy and lezard used tool assistance to make the infamous "Breaking The Universe"
Frankly, i dont care. I use tools and i’m damn proud of it.
What’s fucked up is that this guy is using tools and no one is arguing about it.
His shit is cute, but not better than lezard and toxy.
There’s no doubt in my mind that he’s going after the entire vs series.
There’s something else i want to talk to you guys about.
We’ve managed to explore all the aspect’s of this game by creating our own tiers, finding out who has more priority than the other, finding infinites throughout the years and most important, keeping it alive for so long.
Even though one person might have an advantage over another for now (speed or execution), with enough practice, one can achieve the same status as the guy before him.
Why am i saying all this?
We have not discussed what tools can do to help us learn the game more.
Ask yourself this question, how much do i know about this game?
Is it because toxy didnt do it, it doesnt exist?
Chun Li can link her s.mk into the three attacks that come before it.
Chun Li can super jump cancel all of her attacks except hk.
But did you know that Chun Li can dash cancel her s.mk into s.lp creating a tiny loop? (if interested, i will make a vid of this to show what im talking about)
With a little tweeking, it can be an infinite.
Do you guys know what Instant Double Jump(IDJ) is?
Its performing a double jump so low to the ground, you get super jump properties at normal jump height.
Let me explain: (with a super jump character) Super jump, then as fast as you can jump again.
Uses:
Not very useful by itself.
But if you super jump cancel a normal move and incorporate IDJ, you might have a new infinite.
I am currently messing around with this.
Joo and I both used this to create new infinites for mvc2. (roll, bb.hood, captain america, cyclops, etc…)
There are only 3 double jump characters in xvsf (cyclops, cammy and chun li) and that means 3 new possible infinites.
I found one with cammy already.
Chun LI’s dash cancel loop = 2 frame dash
Instant Double Jumping = 3 frames
she has a pretty hard dash loop as well s.ml airdasah f.hk i can only get 3-4 reps of it =s
