well i got my stick fixed and got it converted to have a ps2 connection…
so hopefully this will work at evo. Last year some custom sticks didnt work at all with the adapter so i hope my stick will

EDIT: You probably don’t know frames, since this game was prior to having resources like that. I am finding the discrepancy in which I can attack someone before landing iffy, so if someone can elaborate, that would be awesome.

Having played on Vic’s SG Setup, I feel you just can’t space like you can on cab.
Anybody who played casuals can also attest that you can’t rush or reaction punish the way you can on cab either.

I wont be able to attend T10, I planned on it , but it went for sept to augest 9th really fast, I’ll try to attend some sort of big xvsf tournament. But yeah… If NYC came out it;d be cool.

Okay, the realest of talk. MKP, you are like 7 years younger than me. When you’re my age, you’re gonna be superhuman. You’re so damn good at XvSF. I was the Paleolithic era and you’re a straight up Homosapien, with fire and tools.
You’re dope and I got to give you props. You beat me in practically every casual match, you sent me to losers, and you beat me in the USA vs Canada rematch. I squeezed out a win in losers, but you were beating me like 6 out of 10 all weekend.
I think a Supergun is a good tool, since you already got EMU for practice. Hellfromabove built mine. He might have some schematics so hit him up. Then you just need the board from ebay and some converters from Laugh.
Canada has seized XvSF from the USA. It’s your’s for 2009. See you in 2010:)

well seeing that I did alot better at evo in XvSF than I thought I would I’ve decided to play this game full time instead of just dabbling in it. You’ll be seeing me lurk this thread more often. Good shit to Canada, Vic, My Tampa peeps and everyone else who was at EVO. You guys renewed my vigor for this game!

That would be pretty sick. I support this idea. It would be nice for Ottawa to throw a tournament again. I can assist in logistics but I’d need to have several more people committed to sharing operational responsibilities.
I’ll consult with a couple people and we shall see what comes of it. Ottawa is a pretty good spot for a tournament; we have accommodating venues and cheap rooms, and it’s a very easy city to drive around.
Funnily enough Ottawa has traditionally thrown its big tournaments from around Christmastime to mid-first-quarter.
that kinda fucks with everybody out-of-town’s holidays.
I dunno when to do it but it’ll likely include more games than XVSF.
My idea of a good list is
XVSF, MVC2, SF4 + SF3:3S, CVS2, ST (I dunno if OG ST or HDR is the answer, would have to consult the ST heads) + SSBB.
That is an inclusive enough list to get a good turnout, and a good projected turnout is critical in securing an appropriately awesome venue.
It’s a starting point.

Hellfromabove did get me my MAS Supergun. I dunno how much buidling he did, vs assembling. PM him, I’m sure he’d be more than happy to give you info.

P.S. The sickest Supergun setup would be with four controller ports, 2 to player 1 side, and 2 to player 2. Then you could have *real *2 vs 2 matches. You and LMX could share, and he’d play Wolv and when Wolv died, you cuold play Storm. True 4 player. Can’t you do that on ggpo?
