Why not just tri jump with lk and float? you can do 4 overhead hits and you don’t have to worry about that lp shit.

a few things to say here,
^ i’m sure this last post was not related to xvs but more so emulation, your reason for neg repping isn’t based on what you said by a few other posts as evidence of that, but i’m just looking out for dark reg here, chill out man.
with that said it’s true you’ll never want to cross up with storm, you can either
1: lauch lk, air dash, lk fp to the wall
or
2: lauch lk lightning attack and use drections to make your way to the wall
storm strong point is her resets not not so much cross ups like mags.

Ya storms resets are sick. Seriously tho… if you have someone in the corner with storm its game over. Its so free shes just WAY too fast to handle. Especially if you’re a cheap fuck like me and you do w/e it take just to get them into the corner inf.
Like a few floating tri jumps for example with really quick hi low hits till you hit someone… then just s.mk – sj – lk – ad.f – lk – mk – hp – hk… then inf or otg into more inf…
But ya launch into lk, f.LA, d. LA, df.LA, s.launch works nice to bring them to the corner from any part of the screen. I think its easier just to tri jump lk, hp (repeat) all the way to the corner tho. Considering you can land 1 tri jump lk so easily.
If you wanna do resets or cross I’d suggest to just do fancy combos. Not worth letting people get away in a game like XvSF. Too easy to fuck up and lose all your life.
You can do the tri jump inf from any part of the screen that I mentioned above and to make it fancy you can dash in after any rep… c.lk, c.mp – sj cancel – lk on the way up, ad.df lk float, hp, hk land dash in c.lk c.mp sj ad.df with lk hp or float again. It looks sick. Then when you get them to the corner just s.mk into the setup for the inf. Oh or if the person doesn’t roll… just c.mk pause s.hk, tri jump lk then normal jump up for an easy inf. Clearly you can’t OTG them mid inf if you do that tho. Nice easy setup if you have a problem super jump canceling or bringing them down in the corner from the top of the screen.

If I’m trying to be really safe and just wanna go for the win… instead of doing anything I mentioned (against people that don’t roll really well) I just c.lk – c.mk – s.hk – tri jump lk – normal jump hp. That knocks them into the corner from any part of the screen. They’re forced to wake up to you either dashing in to hit them low or a nice 1 - 4 hit overhead with her floating tri jump. Just mix it up a lot.

That’s a really tough combo, On heavier characters I just do s.MK s.LP s.HK into infinite, or s.MK j.LK dfLA xx dLA s.HK. Against cammy and chun li, I like to do s.MK j.LK j.HP j.HK OTG c.LK c.LP into basic infinite.
But seriously, s.MK for pops? that’s hella style. I thought I was the only person who knew you could pop and combo with it.
On random LS? I donno. that shit is hella punishable. Anyone with a beam super from midscreen can rape you. most characters can just sj. magic series -> induce FS then if you’re in the corner OTG into infinite you from there.
The only time I attempt random LS is a) when I’m running away on top of the screen, and I think the opponent will try and sj.fierce me out of my runaway. b) there’s 4 seconds to the round left, and I need a really quick way to kill someone lest I die by time out, I’ll go for square jump LS and hope they block the wrong way.
Nah =P. Thats one of the combos I’d say I could pull off almost every single time. Damn I can’t wait to show u all this new crap I’ve been practicing since MAT when you come down to T8. “The Macro” will be in the house!
I do some fucked up shit with that s.mk. One of the easiest corner inf setups is with the s.mk. Just hit them with it… then tri jump lk – hp. land then jump up and inf. It looks cool and its so easy.
I use it against chun or cammy a lot. I run around throwing lightning balls at chun… try to watch their pattern to see when they dash and just hope to god that they dash right into it. Its worth the half life but ya its risky as shit. Just gotta really try hard to figure out when they’re gonna dash or drill claw.
If anyone actually gets hit by that… wow. Seriously thats so slow and you should probably try to not do that. If anything, use her float and try to bait out a launch and LS right above the range of the launch as they try to hit you.
you use it as an ambiguous crossup. Try and get the LS right on top of them, where it’s 50% of the time gonna hit on side, and 50% of the other.
A good way to tell on how successful it’ll be is to ask yourself when you do it, which way would you block? I only do it situations where when I’m watching my storm, I’d have no clue which way to block it.
Another neat thing Middle Kingpin was showing me was kara cancel something lightstorm. I didn’t quite understand what he was doing at the time, but I think he was karacancelling either short or LA, to get this really funky kattobi cancel style LS. I didnt’ see much practicle use for it, but what it does is pop you up in the air a character width in front of you while you LS.
