I haven’t logged in on a month and when I run the launcher, it just has the ciel picture but the box to input my login isn’t there. Then after like 5 minutes it just brings up some box in chinese. Did they change the launcher client or something, and do I have to re-download it elsewhere?

It’s updating now. I think it just had a problem connecting to the server to get the update before.

I’d say there are good chances out there, specially since there’s only a couple leaked characters left to be included on the game, and reliable sources say a second beta is going to begin soon.

I don’t know if it’s going to be an open beta, but all the current accounts will be wiped out and presumibly it’s gonna get easier to get in the game.

A new Beta of the game has been strongly rumored for 4 months or so (and by “rumored” I refer people actually hearing it as an announce from the developers’ mouths). Almost all of the leaked characters have been released right now (only the boxer, a supposed new boss and the twins are left), I would give it 3-8 months for the new beta.

Well, I figured out why XD has been giving me grief. It’s not the game itself, it’s Tencent’s “Tencent Protect” app that runs along with the game. Whatever that is is incompatible with Windows 8.1.

Luckily the Tencent Protect website (at least that’s what I think it is) claims that Windows 8.1 compatibility is coming this month so fingers crossed…
