i’ve been trying to play this game since mid summer =/
Shoulda bit the bullet and stood up late back when they were giving out keys on their Twitter thing. It still sucked but at least it was easier.

I swear there was a character in there that looked like a 13 yr old Jin Kazama and that blonde chick kept reminding me of a Nina Williams for some odd reason. It should really be called “Teen-Tekken” if you ask me.
Honestly, it looks like a mix between Tekken characters+KoF characters combined but in a much worse look. Although judging at such a stage isn’t good, the gameplay doesn’t look all that great at this point, at least not until we see more of what you can really do of course, however I’m not really enthusiastic about this so far. Looks like another one of those anime type high school kids scenario fighting it out again while trying to wear retro quasi outfits.
Not hating on anyone who may find this interesting but for me, it doesn’t seem like my brand of taste. Still I’m glad to see that fighting games are getting made outside of the established name companies like Capcom, Namco, Snk, etc, etc.
I really do not get what you’re talking about regarding any of the characters. To me, no one looks like Jin Kazama, no one looks like Nina, none of the characters are high school kids, but hey, to each their own. As for the gameplay, if you’ve played KoF 98, it’s just like that, so if you ask me the gameplay is great. Certainly not for everyone since everything is a lot more condensed compared to other titles, but that’s how it’s supposed to be.
Characters look more like Kof99-02 characters than anything else.

Watch that cgi trailer once more, and at 0:13 tell me how that guy doesn’t kinda look like a young Jin Kazama in a way with his hair in that order, and his facial features of his nose, eyes and even the brow. Because he looks kinda like Jin, seeing the blondie just reminded me of Nina, and that pink haired girl keeps making me think of none other then Athena. They also certainly don’t look like fully grown adults with the way they are looking hence why I made the “high-school” reference here. Maybe you obviously aren’t seeing it the way I am.
I’ve played KoF 98 and to be honest, I’m not a huge KoF fan, but I do enjoy it somewhat. However again, this doesn’t seem to be my kind of taste for a game, just from aesthetics it looks like a watered down version of an SNK game.

Well nothing is made easier from KoF, nothing was removed from KoF, nothing was dumbed down, so it doesn’t seem to be watered down to me at all. I guess there’s just a lot of things I don’t see the way you do. You’re seeing Tekken characters where all I see is KoF, and as for none of them looking like fully grown adults, I think you’ve only seen the 5 or so characters in the trailer and are making a judgement on the entire roster because of that. Plus, anime-esque artstyles tend to not make someone’s real age all that obvious, these characters could be in their mid 20s but you’d never be able to tell from their physical appearance.
Bam! That is why im interested now and the graphics are intriguing, first time i’ve seen cell shading on 3D models this good.
Bruce Lee looks very interesting also, and its just pure genius to include Kung Fu Panda.
Hoping for a sequel now also where the game will start evolving into its own style. Right now, gameplay seems KOF lite.

this game looks nothing like Tekken but KOF was surely on their mind when making this
it does have some high school looking kids in here mos def but thats just half the roster the other half dont
with Cool being like the youngest character i ever seen in a fighter
ive done everything to get this game running except that damn key after months of trying im just keeping up with game

I did the one here and it still seems active but since it’s a roulette of course I didn’t get shit. But at least the Chinese speak says that I can try again tomorrow (hopefully the machine code translation is correct.) So I’ll keep on trying till I can get something.
