Apocalypse Comics has asked me to run all the gaming events for XCon World this year, so here’s whats happening
Saturday, Oct 3rd: SF4, Marvel vs Capcom 2, and Blazblue.
Sunday, Oct 4th: MK vs DC, Halo, Super Smash Bros Melee
Apocalypse comics will be providing consoles and TVs. SF4 and BB will be run on PS3. MvC2 will be run on 360. Bring your own sticks though, of course.
All tournaments will be double elim, best 2/3 rounds/matches. Winner keeps same character, loser can change.
SSBM will follow standard rules (4 stock, no items, etc) 2v2 is possible depending on time and interest

Passes to the convention are $15 for 1 day or $25 for 2 day if you pre-register.
Tournaments are $5 each

I was told last year the convention had around 350-400 people. This is the first year they are holding tournaments though.
I’m really hoping this turns out well. As always, if any out of towners need a place to crash for the weekend, just ask me.
