[Xbox360] I've decided to buy an EVO monitor but I have a few questions before I do

i play using 1080p on my xbox as well. the reason is, the 360 actually does the upscaling within it’s own hardware so you are not relying on your monitor to upscale anything. that is one factor that introduces lag.

Also, I play on PS3, is there anything I should know on tweaking the settings other than simply plugging in the PS3 with HDMI and go?

Before you buy the EVO monitor, look into the LG Flatron W2363v. I bought 1. I had to import it from Japan. It has a “thru mode” for video which means zero image processing. You just have to make sure the video is being displayed at native resolution. Look up the monitor on google. You will see what I mean.
