Yeah that’s probably your best bet. Do it in store after completing your transaction if the workers at gamestop are cool enough. And I’m guessing the general consesnus is “yes, it’s a good deal to trade in and trade up for 360” with the caveat that you take care of getting your data transferred

Doubt you will get that much now that M$ is dropping prices on new systems. Also I heard that the S is suppose to replace the arcade as well (not with 250 GB)
Everyone old works with the S; GS wants controllers for the simple fact they will charge out the ass for used ones…as in, their company policy.
It is. The software is built in too. And yes the new console uses the same controllers. It’s not like it’s a the next generation xbox. It’s just an update sheesh.
I don’t really have anything of significance saved on my old 360 Elite. Hell, I got it for 260 from a guy that barely played it with 3 games. This trade in thing will be good for me. The Elite has been going strong for 3 years now. I hope that if I get this new one, I don’t get a GROD real soon. However with gamestops repair/warranty thing, a GROD might not be so bad. I’ve never used their warranty thing simply because I’ve never bought a system from them, but does anyone know how well it works or are they just blowing smoke up our asses?

It’s been like 2 years since I worked there, but at that time Gamestop had stopped offering extended warranties only for 360s. You just had the 30-day/whatever return policy that applied to all system purchases, & beyond that you had to go to MS. But that was at the height of the RROD debacle. They may have changed their policy since then.

*Rage looks incredible…like a more realistic Borderlands with enemies that aren’t easy-to-kill chumps. (*Note-- I haven’t played the General Knoxx DLC, and I hear the enemies are tougher in that. However, that’s not really a major flaw, imo…I still love Borderlands even though the enemies get easily roasted by the godmode-overpowered main characters.)
Bulletstorm–the footage on this game was a pleasant surprise. My initial impression when reading about this was “yawn…another FPS. whatever, man”. The action looks crazy and hilarious though when you actually see the footage. Plus, it has The Blum?. I haven’t heard Steve “I’m in EVERY anime dub.” Blum in quite awhile.
So if I’m reading this gamestop thing right, I could earn more than $100 towards the 360 S.

That’s everything I have to turn in. I mean, I could easily disconnect the HDD from my elite and it’s still a usable system, so I expect to get $40 for that 120gb HDD while it’s connected. Do any of you see anything wrong with that logic? $300-$180= $120. I could do that easy. I just bet they won’t take it that way lol. I swear I’ll separate that shit if I have to. The girls that work at the gamestop that I go to hate everything that gamestop stands for. They’ll probably let me get away with this if it’s not supposed to work this way for some reason.
anyway, Deadly Premonition is a fucking brilliant game. if you havent played that shit do yourself a favorite, a game you will never forget. plus it is only 20$.

I’ve heard that the game is very hard to take seriously, even though it deals with the supernatural and is supposed to be scary. What are your thoughts on that? I’ve been considering picking it up, but figured since you’ve played it you could shed a little light on it for me.
Throw in some of those games you don’t play and you should be straight. The dude at my GS is pretty cool, so I might ask him if I can transfer in store, or might use some odd HDD to move my stuff. IIRC you can re-download everything right? (without paying)
