I should go play Tempura of the Dead in honor of the indies!

Cho’s Dynasty was worth the 80 points I dumped on it, that game fucking ruled. San Bruno High was alright as well for the same asking price.

This trailer was unexpectedly awesome: http://www.gametrailers.com/video/exclusive-console-the-witcher/726181
I also got all 50 waves done on one of the Fenix Rising maps finally yesterday… random funny glitch(?) moment— an enemy I was holding hostage got shot to pieces just as I hit the command to do that “bag and tag” move where you plant a grenade in them and kick them forward…so, he went to pieces as my character already started the move, so I did a “bag and tag” on air and kicked an invisible body forward…the grenade still blew up as normal; it was just stuck in an empty space of air where the victim’s body should be.
The team I was with did this 50-waves run the easy way to get that achievement— super reload mutator makes all of this stuff a breeze…it almost cuts things down to Fable 2 levels of easiness…yeah. I bought a Silverback at some point in the 40s just in case, but we didn’t even really need that, because “super reload” is just that strong.

maaaan, I need a job at blockbuster so i can play these babies (2012)
thank you. I can careless how it pretty it looks. How about makes games with SOME ACTUAL FUCKING DEPTH that makes you want to enjoy and experience the world you are in. The “realism” browns, dark brown, shit with a little dash of green is starting to bore me. How much more do we need graphically?

I’m not even sure what the story is about. I never paid attention to The Witcher before since it was only on PC until now. I just know it’s a good-looking actionRPG, and that description is usually good enough for me.
Gears 3—> I am now only about $4000 away from a level 3 Silverback in Horde…if I didn’t have to wake up in a few hours, I’d go another few waves since that can be attained in just 1 more Silverback purchase. Offline with that “Silverback ALL DAY, folks.” strat just now, I made it up to wave 20 again with about 177k points. The SB is such a difference maker when you’re doing a solo run of Horde… that thing is such a beast. Of course I was playing on The Slab again. I think it might be easier to hold the key spot (that outside “Exercise Area”) of that map than just about any other sweet spot in the game…it’s sooo good… you don’t even need fortifications other than a Silverback, imo (good thing since there actually isn’t anything out there), and of course this allows you to focus on putting all of your money into that. If you get a Gunker or Reaver boss wave, you’re all set to get very far without even needing to rely on other people.
If the price on games goes up again with the next generation of consoles, the industry may find out the hard way that the majority of gamers simply CANNOT afford to keep up with that shit. I am reminded of the old days of the Neo Geo Gold System with their $100+ cartridges… and I remember that when anyone claimed to have that system and games for it, they were lying. Seriously, I didn’t know even 1 person that had that system, aside from my old friend that lies all the time, and surprise-surprise… he was lying about that. It’s also not a good thing when parents AND kids are both laughing at your price structure like “nigga please, get outta here with that”

Witcher 2 has four more hours of game play!
also, a new game coming out via steam and XBoX is Age of reckoning (king arthur maybe) and it looks bad ass…
Very fable esc
It’s really not a problem now Million. Retailers have been chopping $15-20 off of the price of new games for awhile now. If you don’t buy a game the day it comes out and just wait a couple of weeks or so you can get it for less than $60. Not to mention a lot of places give you pre-order credit like $10-20 to use the next time you come in. I dare say that buying games now is even LESS expensive than it has been in the past. I actually think that Limited Editions help keep the price of the regular editions down since there is an added profit for ever LE sold (I assume there is). Not to mention if you are PC gamer and you don’t mind owning a phyical copy of the game, digital downloads can be had for SOOOOOO cheap. If anything, you won’t have time to play all the games you want.
Granted, whenever a console launches the games are usually expensive but that’s to be expected. Once the dust settles it’ll be cheap cheap for everyone.
I beat Ninja Gaiden 2. I still love Bayonetta 5 times more. Not that NG2 is bad but it’s kind of bland after awhile. I honestly think that NG2 might have been better with more adventure to it. Game is so hell bent on combat that it just gets tiring after awhile. Oh great, here comes several level 1 bosses for me to fight in succession. I guess that’s fun to some people but it just feels cheap (like a lot of the hits you take and the camera that likes to go astray). But the pieces of exploration that are there are kind of neat. Honestly the game has the best environments to fight in in any of today’s modern hack and slash super action games (not counting God of War). It’s rare to find a game that is willing to put you in a tight ass hallway and let you fight a pack of ninjas. That’s rather thrilling. I think I might be one of the few that are looking forward (a little, the rumor of dlc weapons makes me want to punch something) NG3 since the pace is changed up a lot more.

I’m not worried about the price of games going up. We had a nice little break for a while with the PS/DC but games still don’t cost as much as they did for the SNES/ launch-era N64.
Heh someone who actually remembers paying out the ass for those games.

Oh yeah, I should’ve mentioned that I was thinking of a $99 price point when talking about the future price of individual games, probably since someone either in this thread or elsewhere mentioned that… now that I think about it again, it would be ridiculous for the industry to push the price up that much in just 1 generation. As much as the gaming audience is willing to roll over and accept any ol’ bullshit these days… people definitely wouldn’t go for a new price point that is that much higher than the previous era. If it went up they’d probably go up gradually, like say 65.99 or 69.99 being the new normal price for a new, non-special edition game…the unfortunate thing is that a small gradual shift like that would work, since most gamers are always thinking “eh, it’s just a few bucks more” about pretty much everything these days, no matter how much of a rip off it truly is. Heh, I’d bet money that this is exactly what will happen, and it will be successful…the Live Arcade games would also become $20/1600 + on everything except old ports…these boosted prices will all be for the same shit we’re getting currently…just like $1.00 an change now buys a much smaller version of the jr. cheeseburger at Wendy’s these days…that shit is the size of a tiny cookie at this point…and the bastards probably think we don’t notice their incredible shrinking burgers…in another year the shit will be the size of a damn Ritz cracker… get outta here with that bullshit, Wendy.
Then again, it should probably be expected anyway due to inflation being an unfortunate, inescapable fact of life, basically. (e.g.-- a regular jar of Jif peanut butter is now $3.39 at Kroger here, and some bags of chips are now 4.99…bull-ass-shit, man…pisses me off to pay out more money to get the same amount or less of something I was getting previously… just the concept of it makes me want to break something.)
Back on topic with games… so much going on now, as usual… see, Soul Calibur V is officially out tomorrow apparently… but I’ll probably hold off since there’s so much other stuff Iwant to get around to… like the Warhammer DLC from several weeks ago, the Saint’s Row 3 DLC that came out recently, and several Live Arcade games I was interested in but haven’t bought yet, then there’s the never ending RPG-ish “GRINNNNNNNDDDDD”(haha) that is Gears of War 3 now… upgrade to level 3 Silverback (MISSILES!) is on the schedule for tonight!
*oh and the ridiculous price of the N64 carts… see, that’s one of the reasons I never bothered with that system. One thing helping me avoiding it was that there was hardly any games on it that interested me anyway. (*the first Smash Bros. game and Goldeneye…that was pretty much it for me.) PSX was shitting all over the N64 the entire time as far as I was concerned…haha, it wasn’t even close.
^haha I caught the Grind joke.
Started replaying Crysis 2 to get all the single player achievements. What an easy ass game once your powers are maxed out. I really hope that in Crysis 3 your enemies are as good as you or better. The Ceph in C2 aren’t as annoying as the Ceph in C1 so they pose less of a challenge and the human grunts just can’t match your power. Game needs a sophisticated threat to match your power.

Street Fighter 4 on a Kinect

^That’s kind of cool but could you imagine the WORK that would have to go into doing that for all the characters and making it more accurate (dude throws an uppercut and out comes a hadoken. Errrr)
This is a hell of a jump for 5th cell considering they were doing scribblenauts beforehand.

^I watched that and I need some normal gameplay footage. That flying around actually didn’t look too hot. I read that the combat was supposed to be about positioning and what not and was to play differently from other games in the genre. Plus my man putting his name in the trailer like he’s directed the hottest shit of all time is TERRIBLE. You do that after this game is a success.
What are you talking about? This is the industry where you can plan out a trilogy before the first game drops. =D
dont forget the cash prize

It’s interesting at the very least. Not very effective. It showcases a problem with kinect in general. The games that are coming out, too few of them take advantage of what it can do, and instead just swap out the XBox buttons for hand and leg movements/positions. Cool, you made a ping pong game. Oh, swinging the paddle in ANY possible way results in basically me hitting the A button to return the serve. Oh, ok then…
Is there anything even has true physics, on the kinect yet? Or at least an attempt at phyics?
From what I know many are getting that windows SDK thing for it
