Bumping this for conveniance…
Working on the sequel to this story now, Marvel Super Heroes vs. Street Fighter. Looks like I missed my August deadline… Anyway for now I’ll be rereading this faq so I can remember stuff for the story, cleaning up as many gramatical errors as I can before I start putting up the new one. I’d love to upload this faq up at Fan Fiction.Net too. Anyway I’m hoping the wait for me to start the new fic won’t be that long.
I’ve been doing as much Marvel research for the new Fan Fic as I could. I even tracked down some of Shuma-Gorath’s appearances in some Dr. Strange comics. And I found Blackheart’s last comic book appearance in a Fantastic Four annual. So that is one of the reasons for the hold up among others. I know I don’t have to do that with this story being a Fan Fic but it makes things fun for me. With the X-Men vs. SF fic I didn’t have to research that much being both an X-Men and an SF nut, but with all of the other heroes in MSH there was a lot more reading and looking up old issues I had to and still have to do. I’m really good with Spider-Man but Captain America, Hulk, not so much so the need for buying old comics arises. I’m still wondering what exactly I am going to do with some characters given a lot of the drastic changes that happened to them in the 90s when this game appeared, but the best method I’ve come up with is to find spaces in their storylines where a crossover like this is possible. It’s still not going to fit in perfectly much like the X-Men/SF fan fic doesn’t fit in perfectly, it can at best fit ‘loosely’ within Marvel’s comics. I’ll talk more about all that confusion when I start the Fan Fic. But yeah in short, it won’t/can’t be in 616 or SF’s true world; for SF much like this faq it’s a swap for some of the major events that happen in the Zero/Alpha games. There will be a few changes to Marvel’s 616 storyline and I will do my best to point out when that happens. Some of the reasons for that are that I plan to write all the way up to MVC2 and it’s conveniant for me to have some events happen in my fic instead of older comics. Much like I’ve been doing with SF characters.
With the new fic I’ll do my best to make it lots of fun with a lot of surprises. And of course plenty of very long and dragged out fights. Well, with Capcom being psycho and including GODS that can appear to be the size of Galactus like Shuma-Gorath and Blackheart I’ll have to exaggerate just a little more on the victors but I’ll still try my best to make the outcomes as believable as possible - within reason - um, let’s say the SFers are a lot stronger in this world but I’m still not doing crap like Dan defeating Blackheart with a Gadouken… I guess that’s the best I could say about that…
So yeah keep an eye out for the new fic. I’ll insert a link for the new fic within this one too.

Still re-reading and editing this story for right now, hopefully things will get rolling on the next fic in a few weeks.
Update - For now I edited the fic, fixed the spelling errors as much as I could, though I still need to run a real spell check on the thing, but that will have to wait for another day. It was really good to reread before I started up the next one to remind me of a few things. And I actually found 2 bloopers I made that I had to correct!
Originally the orb that was beneath Apocalypse was light blue and had thin strips of machinery around it, but later in the fic it was just a white orb floating in mid air all alone. So I edited the earlier chapters so it could always be a white orb. Since there was a time gap I could of left it in there but it conflicts something I’m about to write in the upcoming MSH vs. SF fic so I just kept it as a floating white orb throughout.
The other big blooper was when Cyclops was approaching Ryu after his fight with Magneto he put his Ruby Quartz glasses away and put his visor on. Later on when Wolverine removes the visor from his head his glasses fall out! So I just had Cyclops put the visor over his glasses. The ending wouldn’t be the same with Jean holding his powers back if he could just pull out the glasses from his pocket and all.
I’m not uploading this fic up at Fan Fiction.net for now because it will just delay everything else but I did prepare this fic for it, just a little. In the first post in this thread I mentioned how I only use Japanese names for the characters and listed the differences. I also pointed out down the line that Dr. Senoh is the little scientist from the SF2 Animated Movie, which I honestly should of written down anyway for clarity.
So if all things go well MSH vs. SF should start up in early November. Still a few things I have to check out and look up before I begin.
