If there were to be a crossover, then we wouldn’t really need a cross-company crossover. It should be done along the lines of what Top Cow and Marvel have done; Hulk and the Darkness, Wolverine and Witchblade.
If anything, there should be only character crossovers, because there are way too many characters to cram into a limited series, as JLA/Avengers has shown. Wolverine and Chun-Li: The two of them would make a great pair.
Yeah, you’re right about Sakura not really involved with the RS universe. She was’nt involved in the RS series anymore. when the first RS game was made, it wasnt given a date as to when it took place, but sometime after its release it had been stated that RS took place in 1999, so since Sakura was still a teenager in the Alpha series, it was impossible to have her exist in a game in 1999 and still have her be a teenager, so by the time PJ was made Sakura was officialy removed from the RS series.
I only mentioned Kyosuke because I was trying to convince Sammuraiblade that RS is’nt really a part of the SF universe.
Simple. Arika had a published game called Fighting Layer, featuring Allen Snider and Blair Dame. Due to the low success of Fighting Layer, Arika blamed Capcom for stealing their character designs(see Allen’s moves).
Capcom solved this problem by letting Arika do thier Street Fighter games.

The remarks/sources you’ve seen on Sakura knowing RS characters are just easter eggs. It’s kinda like what nortlee said, capcom only input those things just to please Street fighter fans.
Besides, you see alot of easter eggs in alot of Capcom games. In Street Fighter 3: third Strike, Makoto’s ending shows alot of charaters from different capcom games. It featured characters like Maki from Final Fight, and even cammy.
THose appearences have nothing to do with the original plot or the game itself.
In DarkStalkers 1, in Felecia’s ending She Remarks Blanka. But that’s really brief and is mostly a joke and probably thus just an easter egg.
Sakura knowing RS characters has’nt been justified, and probaly are just easter eggs as well.

Last time we started a Thread like this, Udoneko said the secret project they are working on is not X-Men vs. SF or any kind of Marvel/Capcom crossover. He said they approached Marvel about it, but there are a lot of factors in making a crossover, so it’s not going to happen now for the time being.
Recently Udoneko also said the secret project is not Rival Schools or Darkstalkers, so guess again.
Maybe its a comic about the UDON staff making the SF comic. That would be cool. Also redundant.

Ok, I rather see a X-men vs. Street Fighter movie considering well never see apocalypse appear on that sorry ass x-men movie series made by fox. So someone buy the license to x-men vs. street fighter and give us apocalypse and onslaught.

I’d rather see an X-Men vs. SF Anime so I could see Wolverine and Sabretooth actually cut people and they can bleed buckets of blood unlike the live action Movies and Cartoons. I still liked the Movies, but I want the huge amounts of blood only Anime can provide.
