X-Men: First Class movie

And nothing of value was lost

The movie was the Wolverine Origins of X Men movies.

That is a lot considering how silly X3 was. It was X Men Stew. They just threw every mutant ingredient not caring about continuity at all.

I can’t wait for the sequel where Nate Summers joins the team and they fight Ms Sinister because the Sentinels are trying reboot the legacy virus.

What a crazy movie, if you know anything about comics at all the comedy factor of the movie goes up like 100%.

“Hey guys I’m Darwin, NOW I AM DEAD. OH NO”

Beast was also a huge pussy.

I’ve read hundreds of X-men comics and even I don’t know who the fuck Darwin was.

i know i havent. why did cable have to die T_T

Darwin is just a ripoff of Lifeguard from X-treme X-men

I just looked him up. He was in that shitty Deadly Genesis thing Brubaker was forced to write. Then he was one of the scrubs getting that as kicked by the Hulk, then he was one of the background characters in Messiah Complex. Then he’s in X-Factor, which I hate so I never got around to him.

So yeah, not exactly an important character.

Him fighting hulk was badass. His mutation caused him to evolve to teleport away from the hulk, so as not to get destroyed by him.

Yeah, except for being one of the original X-Men, and actually surviving the death of the first X-Team, and showing the others how low Xavier can sink, and fusing with the other Summers brother (the evil insanely powerful one) Vulcan.

Also, after he fought Hela, the Asgard god of Death, he gained Death God abilities, and hasn’t been seen in a bit while he masters them

so yeah, he would actually be an important character

Darwin is pretty much hinted at being a omega mutant, dude is pretty OP. Sovi3t summed it up pretty well, he also saved professor X life, and he just “left” the xfactor book.

I havent seen first class yet, but Lifeguard was pretty interesting I thought at the time. Her powers always ended up being defensive to save people and herself, not sure if it’s quite the same with Darwin.

It’s pretty hard not to be a super powerful mutant when your power is to have whatever power is needed at the moment. It’s like being Superman in a marvel comic.

I will concede that he is “important”, even though he’s been completely irrelevant/doesn’t appear in Uncanny X-Force/X-Force, the last three years of Uncanny X-men, Second Coming, Astonishing X-men, Messiah War, Wolverine/Weapon X, etc. It’s been three years since he’s even appeared in any of the X-books I read, my bad.

You left out X-factor… Which is where he has been

I agree, I don’t even know how they have been writing him “so well” in the last year or so. I really wouldn’t know what to do with a guy like that as a writer without destroying the core ability of what his power is. That’s why this whole hela thing was probably brought on…

omg X-Factor is godlike, please respect!

Also, Darwin adapted to Death, if thats not OP i dont know what is.

On the topic of omega level mutants, I still dunno how Elixir is one, but Storm and Isolationist aren’t.

I am curious what will happen with Darwin now that he is a death God.

Is the Chaos War still going on?

SLAVEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEERY! camera pans to negro Darwin’s face

Yeah and his unnecessary death kind of sullied this movie’s momentum for me. Like really, it’s 2011 and we’re still gratuitously killing off black folk in movies? :lame:

I liked the movie, it wasn’t overly complex but at the same time didn’t really go all over the place and stayed pretty grounded in its intent. It’s a shame it couldn’t go into details about all the characters though, but guess that’s what sequels are for.

Man Mystique had some issues. She wanted the D anytime a man laid eyes on her. lol

Oh and finally- “Go Fuck Yourself!”

Awesome. :clapdos:

BTW, for the fans of Mad Men, did anyone else think Erik was channeling that Don Draper swag when he was down in Argentina? I honestly thought I was watching Mad Men for a few seconds with the whole cinematography and clothing.

Even with my high expectations, the movie pulled through for me. Enjoyed every bit of it, despite Mystique being the worse character.

Totally digged the Argentina Bar scene. Felt like an Inglorious Basterds moment, but filled with pure perfection. I heard that they wanted a mental battle between Emma and Xavier, but after Inception came out someone higher up opted to take it out. Should have left it in and just make it even better. Vaughn is fully capable director and after Kick Ass and First Class, this guy can make you enjoy your favorite characters on the silver screen.

Also, WUNDERBAR! Kevin Bacon is an awesome villain. Needs more roles like it.

After reading earlier X-force’s I can def see why that dude is OP, he pretty much has the touch of death plus more. A elixir from the future(full potential) prob could pull off all kinda stuff.

omg… black dude dying first. That’s all I could think about and the part where Seb says “SLAVERRYYY” (camera pans to the black guy). Too funny.

Glad to see Steve from Shameless and Tony from Skins in the movie.

Best X-Man movie yet IMO. I could watch that shit again tomorrow.

I understand its your opinion, but no

the first two were better, everything else since has been a slap in the face to fans
